I was with you until the Tesi at centre part. He’s a terrible centre. Makes Staggs defence look like Josh Morris
What do you want to do with Tesi? He's signed for another 2 years.

1. Farnworth
2. Oates
3. Lee
4. Staggs
5. Pereira
6. Kelly
7. Reynolds
8. Haas
9. Walters
10. Carrigan
11. Capewell
12. Robati
13. Hetherington

14. Paix
15. Palasia
16. Flegler
17. Piakura

Assuming Turpin is suspended and Riki is injured, I'd be going with this.

We need to start playing some football. Our forward pack isn't that good that we think we can just roll up the middle of the field against the better sides. Try and get some second phase or spread the ball early in that tackle count......fucking something. Five one-out hitups and kick won't work for us.

Well...that was depressing BUT time for a new team list!

1. Farnworth
2. Oates
3. Lee
4. Cobbo
5. Pereira
6. Kelly
7. Reynolds
8. Haas
9. Paix
10. Carrigan
11. Capewell
12. Robati
13. Hetherington

14. Walters
15. Palasia
16. Flegler
17. Piakura

I would go with this.
Cobbo will be a different player by playing next to someone with a good attitude and experience a guy like Mead would help him alot.. he's a centre more than a winger.
I'd even consider playing Staggs off the bench and bring him on at 13 and have him around the ball.

Any word on Riki? Hopefully it's nothing serious

The talk of dropping staggs is fucking laughable haha... he's had 3 bad games but ffs last year he played 4 games afyer an acl and was nearly our best player every game. He came back and went 100 miles an hour then got injured again, of course he's gonna come out slow. Yes he has been well below par but 3 games?! After 50 games of quality?! Ffs calm your farm people. If he is this poor in another 3 games and we are still losing then you START the chat (we can afford to carry someone like that to find form if we are winning while they regather it). Ffs glad people on here aren't the coach, we'd be getting flogged by 50 each week bcos every player would be afraid they'd be getting dropped each week.

I thought we'd have a game we didn't show up, we can't go from bottom 4 team to just winning every game we are expected to win. Also thought people were talking the Cowboys down too easily on here. It's not the "magical" Townsend and deaden, it's their defence. DEFENCE wins in the nrl, it frustrated us when we could only get a penalty try in that 15 minute, then when we lost riki (who has turned into a bit of a rock defensively) it turned that edge to mud.

It was poor but I'm not getting 2020 vibes

I just dont see the harm at all in just taking him out of the team for a game when he has been as poor as he has been. The break could be just what he needs. We have a squad with some decent depth now so it could be how he needs to be managed after his injury.

I think we keep largely the same team and see who responds after the flogging. I just think it's too early to make wholesale changes, but Kevvie needs to have some alternatives in his head if he has to pull the trigger the following week against Roosters.

1. Tesi - Basically a last chance to see if he can turn it around.
2. Oates
3. Staggs - Would be giving him an objective to focus on defence and getting involved (like 10 hit ups minimum)
4. Herbie
5. Cobbo (could be sent to ISC for Pereira)
6. Kelly (still safe... don't think he had a platform to work off which hampered his and Reynolds' game)
7. Reynolds
8. Palasia
9. Turps (reluctantly... kind of hope he cops a suspension just so we can see what Paix might bring)
10. Haas
11. Capewell
12. TC
13. Carrigan

14. Billy
15. Kobe
16. Flegler
17. Piakura (somewhat reluctantly, but I think we need 2nd row cover)

I've got Palasia starting over Flegler, because he has done well in that role all year and did today as well until getting shifted to the edge. I also don't really want what is most likely our best 3 middles all starting. We need some impact off the bench and because of that I think Flegs should start from the bench.

Tough'ish call on Jensen because I like him, but I don't think TC can get through 80mins at second row and will need some cover on the bench... also not sure on Piakura's fitness and would prefer he play more ISC before coming into the 17, but I can't really think of what edge depth we have going.

Maybe start with Jensen and Palasia to the bench, and Palasia can be the second row cover??
