I can see it going two ways - he makes a mistake early and ends up over-compensating with chip kicks. Or Wayne gets him in to siege mode and he gutses out his best game of the year. The good thing is that his errors were blatant and easy to identify. Wayne shows him vision of the poor defence, the chip kick, the dropped ball (regardless of how bad the pass was) and Hunt goes out there knowing (1) Tackle like it's the most important tackle you'll ever have to make, (2) Play the percentages and trust the game plan, and (3) Be prepared for anything for each and every 4,800 seconds of the game.

Kahu is a decent goal kicker. Certainly more consistent at this point than Parker. WHY can't he do it full time?

If this were 2014, I would have been dreading the worst after the performance against the Panthers..

But I've seen what this team is capable of. And I have a feeling Bennett will be firing a rocket up them.

Whenever they did lose last year, they always showed improvement the next game.

^^ Truth. A lot of unwarranted cynicism tonight from certain people. Round 3 last year we were 2 from 3 with a shellacking in round 1 our worst loss. Round 3 this year, our only loss was 1 point against Penrith on their own turf. End of the world? Hunt a broken player? Hardly.

As much as I agree that Wayne is going to have the boys much better for our next game.. We have 5 days to prepare after one of the hardest games we've played in the last 18 months, Cowboys have 7 days to prepare after one of their easiest games in the last 18 months.

It's going to take a massive effort from the boys to be ready for that challenge.

As much as I agree that Wayne is going to have the boys much better for our next game.. We have 5 days to prepare after one of the hardest games we've played in the last 18 months, Cowboys have 7 days to prepare after one of their easiest games in the last 18 months.

It's going to take a massive effort from the boys to be ready for that challenge.

Easy games often aren't the best preparation though. Not that I expect the Cows to turn up only half switched on, I have no doubt they'll be fired up - but so will we. Wayne will have them right to go.

Cannot see a win on last nights form. You are only as good as your last game, that's the current form. We are down on troops and Hunts form is very ordinary and gets worse with fatigue. The Cows will be too good but I suspect that we will be better later on in the season and the cows will have dropped off. It's not panic stations but we are some ways off. Call me pessimistic if you choose but we will need a big improvement to compete this year.

Fair call really.

There is every chance we will be right up there towards the end of the year, but as of right now we have no right being labelled premiership favourites.

There are a number of teams in far better form than us and we have a handful of players having a real dig, but a large amount playing like entitled little brats.

I haven't been this disappointed in the team for a long time. It is bizarre that the first time we play against Griffin we play exactly the way we did under him for a majority of his stint.

im dearly hoping that bennett was pulling his ace early this year by putting the team under the pump last night to turn this match into one where an improved performance rather than the result will be considered a successful outing. either way glad im no chance of forking out my hard earned to watch that kind of dribble like i was last night

We'll definitely get better as the season goes on. You can see how smooth we look with the ball sometimes. Early season plays and players can be rusty for a lot of clubs. Our defence will toughen up too. We've just been in cruise control.

That said, I was still very confused by some of the coaching decisions last night. Why did Ofa play 0 minutes? Was it as punishment for the rest of the side (less breaks)? Seems unfair to him though. And why did Nikorima play so many minutes at hooker? His service was bad, and his running wasn't as effective as usual.

Hopefully we'll see a much more determined performance for this game.

I'm expecting a turn around this week. An easy first half had the lads looking to this game and switched off.

The master will sort them out attitude wise this week.
