Round 4 - Broncos vs Panthers - Post Match Discussion

Have we conceded a try that wasn't on the back of an error this year? Even the Cowboys tries came after we dropped the ball.

I actually thought our attack was better last night. Still completely falling apart in most sets but I feel like we got a bit further down the field/into the set before that happened. The lead up to Yow Yeh's try looked like a perfectly executed set piece to me. There were definitely more good moments than previous games IMO, even if they didn't result in tries.

Lockyer had a shocking first 20-30min, but he was more involved for the rest of the game than I've seen all season. A sign of good things to come.

I was pleased to see that he was running the ball a bit more than usual.

Normally he'll force a pass before the line because he's worried about getting tackled, but he made some fairly incisive runs last night. Would've made a few more breaks if he was as quick as he used to be. :P

For an old bloke, he's actually still deceptively quick. I get the feeling that he's going to work harder than ever this year. Hopefully he stays fit.

Nice people on the forum!! Any of you guys live in proximity to Las Vegas and would like a service maid then look me up. Thanks!

We will get our arses handed to us the first time we play a decent side. I'm glad we have 3 from 4 but in all honesty the opposition has been woeful and we haven't put anyone away.

We have a long long way to go.

I couldn't belive McGuire got owned like that at the end by Burns, he should be embarrassed. Soft C@#k.
Our defensive attitude has been terrific but our attack is just ordinary.
We may be adjusting to Griffins style still, looks like our forwards are playing a lot flatter, but we look unsure a lot of the time.

I went to the game last night and it occured to me that Peter Wallace's hair is the same colour as video refs No Try signal. Is this purely a coincidence?

Best sign from last nights game for me was Thaidays second half preformance. looked like he was starting to get back to his 2010 form

Hunt picked up a knee injury and maybe sidelined for two weeks.

Possible blessing in disguise giving Macca more minutes on the field?

Just heard that Denan Kemp has defected to the Melbourne Rebels, very dissapointing as I thought he could have come into calculations eventually this year and had an significant impact. Good luck DK. Will never forget that try against Melbourne in the major Semi a couple years back.

I'll miss him, but he was far too exciting a player to be left in the lower leagues. He needs to be playing first grade, even if it is union.
