Are there two paixes in the squad?
a couple of typos mate

Nui is in the 14 and Lodge in the 17

That's what happens when you adjust the team list in Photoshop to try and predict the line-up as close as possible so you only have to make very little changes and don't actually end up making those changes..

So Turpin is actually playing or not?

I'm guessing Lodge is still getting match fitness, and coming off the bench as a result of that. He really should be starting. Carrigan/Flegs could surpass him eventually, but definitely not yet. He should be playing the opening and closing stages of the match.

Also who the **** is Petterson-Robati?

TL;DR former Storm NYC player Seibold coached. Quit League after NYC, made a comeback through the Norths Devils and now finds himself with an NRL deal.

Waste of a game. Best thing Seibs has done is flick Macca. We've been going nowhere with him controlling the ball. I'm excited about seeing Niu and Paix make their debuts.
Surely you're able to admit that he would be a perfectly fine backup hooker in the case of an emergency? If not, then there's literally no use engaging in a conversation with you about this because you're incapable of putting your bias aside.

That’s kinda like saying we have a backrow crisis so I wish sua was still around or staggs has been suspended, I wish James roberts didn’t get let go.
No, it's more like releasing our 2nd in line (and only other legitimate option) second rowers and saying "jeez, he'd do a job in that position". The fact that some of you would rather make dumb comparisons like this instead of just saying he would be helpful says a lot about you. Don't mix my words, I'm not at all saying I wish he didn't get let go. I am saying having him start with Paix coming off the bench would be helpful. Very easy to understand stuff.

Guaranteed mediocrity from Macca or a 50/50 chance of a breakout game for Paix....I know which way I'd go.

Yeah, if you read my initial post (reading still seems to be a problem around here), you would have noticed I said "with Paix off the bench". 50/50 chance of a rookie starting and playing 80 minutes whilst underdone having not played a game in months? Do you understand how probability works? Because it's not a 50/50 chance if that is the option you'd prefer.

You guys have gotten really good at spinning the narrative though.

If we're being honest, Cult is right.

We'd have a far better chance of winning this game with Macca starting and Paix giving him a 20-25 minute spell in the 2nd half. Regardless, what's done is done, it's time to move on.

No Macca wouldn’t be helpful and the spud had plenty of chances to be something more than a professional trainer. He was just so slow. Everything he did was slow. But hey he made plenty of tackles but that just made him even slower. Don’t worry though, he’ll be back next season.

Did Seibold tell Macca to **** off, or did he tell him he wouldn't be first choice and Macca has gone in search of regular footy? My bet is it was the latter. The club has then granted him a release, as it's the least we could do after his years of service.

It seems a little unfair to blame Seibold for our lack of backup.

My point was pretty much that having 2 hookers work together instead of one first gamer playing 80 minutes. Macca was simply used as an example of what would have been a nice option for the club to have. I've moved on and I'm on the record saying it was the right choice for the long term benefit of the club though.

If Turpin is out and Paix debuts, then Siebold needs to forget about Nui and put another hooker on the bench to cover for him. No way could he possibly go the full 80 on debut.
Niu could fill in at hooker no problem has also spent plenty of time in the halves as a junior
