Correct. Won't find me arguing that.

Im just saying that I have no doubt it would've been benefit of the doubt last year. He was held up for an absolute eternity.

Absolutely frustrating especially after the reffing errors that happened to us last year.

And to make it worse, one of them happened against Melbourne.

Yeah the Storm are cheats but it just highlights why we suck. When was the last time we put on a nice set play from the scum?

We never ever seem to design a play to exploit a weakness in the opposition. Sure the Storm did it illegally, but I don't have a problem with it. Frankly it's just smart coaching. Not just the storm either -- Nathan Merritt's try on Friday was superbly coached, flawlessly executed and no doubt conceived to take advantage of a weakness in the way the opposition defended.

I don't think I've ever seen Griffin attempt to do that. His A, B, C and D plan is to win by defending and being stronger.

Reading my mind, Ari.. The 'set' plays we do have look so damn clunky!! Hopefully that will improve through the year as they guys spend more time on them (and build to more complex ones...) I'm just hoping this year is the reverse of last year, start not-so-good and ride good form home. It's a long season, and I saw enough on Friday night to reinforce my view that we're definitely a chance for the 8 (even if making up the numbers, we're realistically a long way from Storm/Manly quality) and there should be NO excuses if we don't make it. I just hope that game against the Storm isn't the best we play all year...we always go up a gear against them, it will be interesting to see if we 'maintain the rage' this coming weekend. The Titans are playing well, and with Prince in the side (of course he will be) it'll be a great game.

I'm going to be really unpopular here, but I can bet you we won't be seeing teams get so many easy tries like that against the Storm any time soon. They will fix those defending issues pretty quickly. Not taking anything away from our team, but if we played them again next week and tried to score out there again I reckon we'd come away with a lot less. Good to see Hoffman finishing tries on the wing, been a while since we've had a winger who could do that. Now we need Kemp to find form and replace Maranta. Having two wingers that can finish tries, yummy.
