I hate being negative, but there is a case for reality over blind optimism, and a 'plan for the future' mentality rather than a 'win next week' mentality

So call it negativity or reality, but the chances of us beating the Storm this weekend are not good - with or without Hodges

So why not give him another week off knowing that we need him fit and firing to win games later in the year?

Definitely john, but Hodges will play anyways, because he's passionate about broncos and probably a little bit stupid as well. Griffin doesn't have the balls to say no so look forward to seeing hodges limp or be carried away at either the start of the game or early 2nd half!

Didn't Henjak fall out of favour because he told Lockyer he couldn't play when Lockyer said he was good to go? Lol.

Brisbane management made a conscious decision when Griffin first took over to rest players like Lockyer and Hodges during SOO whether they were fit enough to play or not.

A lot of squealing back then when we lost games without those players.......but Griffin stuck to his guns and rested them anyway.

So he certainly can so no..... if it's part of his plan

yes our plan this year is to be shit at the start and good at the end :D :D

That's what I'm banking on .......kinda reverse psychology from last year. :winky:

The cautious approach was taken. He wasn't playing last week yet was training.

Coz its Hodges :)

But seriously, I don't know. Just given his history, why not take a cautious approach?

That's all

Probably best not to play him all year, just in case

unbelievable that a media article would tip the broncs!

dodds has picked up a ligament injury in his foot which is why he's out, 2-4 weeks.

kemp is listed as 1-2 weeks.

I think it's my blind optimism getting in the way, but I think we are a chance against Melbourne. The Storm looked tired in the 2nd half against the Dogs last week and have had to do another week of travelling, while the Broncos will be anything but complacent this week. If we can continue to be defensively strong, I think we can put together a win.

I don't think we'll win.. but i really hope we see some better attacking plays.

Anything to make the Storm have to work hard in defence.

Hodges "training" for @brisbanebroncos but Kahu & Stagg also spending time at centre.

if hodges doesnt play ffs just give a proper outside back the gig im sick of this backrower in the centres bullshit.

Good to hear Kahu is in the mix anyway.

Aye.

It's not like Hook's ever had much choice in the matter.

i noticed that kahu was named to play FB for wynnum this weekend. from memory he'd been playing centres prior to that? would qcup clubs do that with broncos interests at hand?
