PRE-GAME Round 4 - Storm vs Broncos

If you watch the first line break that Herbie had, it was off the back of TPJ stepping up as First receiver running at the line and spreading it wide(attracting defenders on him and opening up the edges), a Fucking massive forward doing what Croft should be doing.
In fairness, it was Croft's second phase that initiated the play and created the space out-wide.

Also seemed to open up when our forwards started getting over the top of the dogs defence

But come on look:

If he wasn't That Slow that would of been a try for sure, Herbie had to slow right down for him to give him that.

I assume you're posting this to show Isaako bombing a try by trying to go himself

I timecoded it from the play I was talking about.

Sorry, you did say first which was at 0:45.
I Forgot about that first one actually, but TPJ played like a Half there as well lol.

well yeah I meant the first big one.

and that's the one that played. Isaako went himself instead of spreading the ball wide after the Herbie break

Croft was tackled and then that happened, but i wasn't talking about the end result I'm talking about what created that chance.

Herbie nearly went 40m in the first example, I'm pretty sure he ran less in the second before handing it off but anyway thanks for clearing that up.

I don't think having a ball-playing middle is a knock on your #7 if anything it's very common place in the NRL with players like Radley, Murray, J. Trbojevic coming into vogue.

Croft probably didn't throw hospital pass after hospital pass, it doesn't really matter because that's not his biggest problem.

His biggest problem is most of our attacking weapons are on that right edge but he struggles creating opportunities for them. He's not very good at using our right edge.

He tries hard, but who cares?
That's the sort of criticism that is worthwhile. You're not being a prick, you're pointing to a perceived inadequacy. You are dealing with what you believe is a problem and not just slagging a player off because you believe it is the popular opinion.

I've never thought Croft was a superstar but I thought the same about Devere years ago. These blokes are essential to a team because they have to try so hard to come close to an elite level. What I admire is tenacity and the will to overcome personal limitations . Sometimes these kinds of players just need the extra push a coaches belief gives them.

Yeah it's just Croft never looks like he is playing Eyes up football like that and it's why he looks soo ineffective.

Yeah, that was a disgrace. Brought back memories of last season.

Can I just say: how great is Herbie!

theres talk this game could be played in Sydney instead ... could be better for us than playing at AAMI Park
Hope this happens! Two teams everyone in Sydney hate in an empty stadium. Perfect setting for a very very personal fight. I'd love to see our props and TPJ in a mad as brawl...but not with each other of course.

I don't. For us to be the 1/100000000 chance of winning this we need to be ABSOLUTE underdogs facing all of the adversity. If they have to play in Sydney no doubt bellamy will somehow turn this into a "see, no one wants us to win!"

We’ve been underdogs in every game since round 4 last year except for the two games against the dogs. Hasn’t done is much good.

I agree. Still, our only chance is we come out revved up and storm underestimate us..... that pretty much sums up every underdog win ever
