It's certainly possible. Their outs aren't that huge, herbie and possibly kafusi...

Ours.. Walsh, haas, Reynolds, piakura, Mariner. Maybe even willison...

Their outs are huge, because their replacements are barely first grade standard. They don’t have good depth, we do.

Piakura and Mariner aren’t important enough to the side for their outs to be a problem for us. Willison will be back, and even if Walsh isn’t, Tristan is a damn good back up to have.

Our back line is better than theirs and so is our pack.

Our club is a premiership contender, theirs isn't. There is absolutely no excuse for a loss in this one.

There is no way on earth you can compare our outs with there's. No way....

They would have needed to have lost hammer (walsh fb and main attack weapon), katoa (reynolds, halfback, main organiser), flegler (main prop haas), lemuele (piakura dynamic 2nd rower) and Bostock (young winger - mariner). Add to that our top 2 goal kickers and our captain.
Instead they have lost Gilbert (carrigan without the smarts), kaufusi (riki without the kick chase), and farnworth (staggs). Sucks but I'd trade those 3 in for walsh and reynolds ALONE from a team point of view, never mind haas, piakura and Mariner! Carrigan/gilbert would suck though, but they haven't had him all year as well.
We get walsh back for this game and flegler drops out then MAYBE you could start to talk about it being comparable.

Yep. Its like comparing apples to sultanas isn't it.. we could very easily lose this, in fact we are very vulnerable. The phins will be banking on this as their best chance to get their first W over big brother

Flegler will be named and will play.
He will also want to “prove a point”.
He’ll come in guns blazing, get sent for 10.
Get over emotional, have an off game.

Its hard to compare imo because our squad is just more robust. They dont have a Carrigan for example to take up the slack when you lose a Payne Haas. The players they have lost arent the same calibre as ours but for them they are just as important. As has been said, its the blokes they have coming in thats where we have the edge. We just have more quality.

The big benefit they have over us with the injuries is their spine is intact, and whether people like them or not, Hammer, Kodi, Katoa and JMK is a very decent spine. Unless Walsh and Arey play, its a better 1,6,7,9 unit than we will put out.

The Dolphins could be in further trouble after Jarrod Wallace was placed on report for dangerous contact on Bears halfback Guy Hamilton. The incident occurred during the opening exchanges of the Capras/Bears game with Wallace smashing the pint-size halfback well after the pass had been thrown.

If the QRL match review committee charges Wallace with a Grade 2 Dangerous Contact, Wallace will need to appeal for a downgrade at the judiciary in order to be available for Friday's clash against the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.

Absolutely huge game. It will be so good for our confidence if we can punish the Dolphins. A good convincing win will have us placed nicely.

With every team beating each other, the form guide is way off. We just have to win the games we should and build strong towards the end. This competition will not keep up when we are full strength.

Barring any more ridiculously bad injury luck across the comp, the ladder should begin to right itself by the end of Round 10. The top 4 from last season return there, albeit in different positions, but the byes to the Scum and Smugs is swaying the results in their direction.

Also I tend to think I am giving the Scum a little too much credit having them in 1st. They haven't been that great but that says more about the difficulty of their "draw" than anything else.

We just need to adapt to adversity better. I though against storm when losing Reynolds we did better than roosters and penrith game so maybe we are learning. Still young but someone needs to step up on the field when the chips are down. I was hoping would be Patty but to be fair he is doing all he can to carry the forwards. Not sure who it is in these unusual circumstances we are experiencing. Maybe Billy?

The least disruption is to give Madden a chance. Give Reyno 2 weeks or more to rehab.
I must admit I would be tempted to give Mam a chance at 7 and Sailor 6 (if Walsh is back) or even Billy to 7 and Mozer to 14.
But we signed Madden for this and we have to see if he has learnt and can improve on previous showings. I'm hoping he's been practicing his long kicking game because 30 m to the fullback on the full doesn't cut it...

I've watched him play . This 30 metre cliche is not exactly truth .
