Round 6 Discussion

Kaufusi just did what TPJ did to Cronk and not a word from the commentators.

Loving seeing Melbourne getting destroyed. Seriously hope Roosters can go on with this and totally embarass the Storm.

Do feel sorry for whoever plays the Storm next week though.

Kaufusi at least tried to wrap his hands around Cronk, that's probably all TPJ needed to do different.

Just cancel this season already. Our back to back record is about to die.

They did address it.

Joey said the hit tonight was okay.

It's hard to see why. Cronk took the line on in our game so he was fair game. Kaufusi looked like he had time to pull out.

Imagine our forward pack laying the platform for a spine + backline in the sort of touch this Roosters mob are in, green with envy to be frank

I see them as damn near identical. Both clean tackles in my book and fair enough. It's a contact sport and if you turn your back you're going to cop it sometimes. Penalty at worst.

Annoying double standards from the media. Fox commentator said "I'm okay with that". Wasn't sure who.

That's the kind of try they would call back if the scores were level but because Storm are 20 behind, they let it go.

A mile forward, even left forward from the hands so it wasn't a case of back from the hands and momentum carried it forward.

Storm get a sympathy try. Would love a stat as to how many times those grubs have worked the neck in a tackle.

The last touch was a forward tap on they could have had a look at but nah, just give it.

I can understand the media wanking over the Roosters. They have to talk it up.

I'm quite pessimistic about the future of Rugby League in its traditional heartland.

Is Sydney an AFL town now? I thought this question was preposterous but the Swans get crowds any team in Sydney would bend over for.

I've heard the counter-points.

"Well, at least we rate better than them! Look at the ratings, Hook!"

Yeah we rate well. So what? So does Married at First Sight and My Kitchen Rules.

Does anyone think they'll be around in 10 years?

Sorry mate...I'm digressing.

Great game so far.

The Roosters crowds are genuinely embarassing, they have probably the best team in the competition and can barely get 10k crowds. What's worse is they play in an 80k+ stadium, if I was new to the game and tuned into that I'd think it's a reserve grade competition.

The new stadium looks fantastic, I'm hoping it might encourage better crowds for the other Sydney teams. ANZ is not a good place for footy but Sydney fans just aren't that interested. Could be having 8 or 9 teams within an hour of each other but that's a discussion we'll have in another thread sometime.
