I think what the team needs to do this week is a) actually tackle the opposition and b) hang onto the ball.
Last friday they missed a ton of tackles and dropped the ball often. It wouldn't matter who is 5/8 if they can't tackle the opposite team and then hang onto the ball when in possession of the ball!

I love these points, FaceOfMutiny. It amuses me when people say Nikorima, Granville etc aren't ready for NRL due to their defense, tackling etc. Our first grade team has leaked 20 - 30 points a game the last couple of weeks. If anything, these rookies would fit right in!

Team list Tuesday has to be one of the most overrated days of the football calender.

Don't get me wrong, I am a definite ham and egger, get sucked in then inevitably get dissapointed when coaches basically name the same 17. However, games aren't supposed to be won on paper and so unless there is something especially horrid I don't see the point of complaining.

IN FACT, I think this team is pretty damn good. Then again, it is the one I named all the way back on Friday, so Hook is preaching to the choir, or so to speak.

Ben Hannant and Kennedy are givens for the bench. The others, Oates is clearly there to gain more first grade experiance and he can cover wing or centre if hodges goes down injured (please dont happen).

The only spot that really annoys me is lowrie. IMO Jarrod Wallance has far more impact on the bench, makes more metres and tackles hard.

Although if wallace or lowrie are only playing 10mins it might as well be Hala. He will have far more impact then those two.
