Reed was the one who deserved to dropped not Maranta. Maranta has improved significantly and is in form while Reed has been a liability.

Wait for Fighting Irish's rant

Team list Tuesday has to be one of the most overrated days of the football calender.

Don't get me wrong, I am a definite ham and egger, get sucked in then inevitably get dissapointed when coaches basically name the same 17. However, games aren't supposed to be won on paper and so unless there is something especially horrid I don't see the point of complaining.

IN FACT, I think this team is pretty damn good. Then again, it is the one I named all the way back on Friday, so Hook is preaching to the choir, or so to speak.

Anyways, guys, you want to see a team list? Here, get all nice bubbly.

1. Jayden Nikorima
2. Josh Hoffman
3. Dale Copley
4. Justin Hodges (c)
5. Daniel Vidot
6. Ben Barba
7. Ben Hunt
8. Josh McGuire
9. Andrew McCullough
10. Dave Hala
11. Alex Glenn
12. Matt Gillett
13. Corey Parker (c)

14. Sam Thaiday
15. Francis Molo
16. Corey Oates
17. Kodi Nikorima

Coach: Darren Lockyer
Waterboy: Bobby Bouche
Barney the Dinosaur Mascot: Big Pete

My cover has been blown. >_>

Why would you have him as the waterboy? Who could say no to a bloke that can tackle like this?

Because momma thinks fooseball is the devil.

And how else are the players meant to feel replenished and perform to their optimal ability?

Hodges deliberately told Tallis he would be 4 weeks away so he could make a surprise return.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see Kahu back next week.

If this was the NRL, Bobby would be placed on report and facing 2 months on the sideline, dangerous lifting tackle.

in that footage his hand touches the ground first and as we have just found out the NRL have decides the negates any dangerous throw charge ... not problems

Looks like this match is going to be worthy of the DERBY tag. Should be a great crowd in attendance.

Does anyone else think this was a bombed try by McCullough? It looks like all he had to was reach out and score. On the backwards angle, he doesn't look as close as he does in the other angles, so maybe he could have dropped it or came up short. However, I thought he should have tried anyway.

I don't think so, i think if he had reached out and tried to score there was a better than even chance he would have lost it given the defenders tackle

He almost committed to it, but opted out at the last second. Based upon the defenders grip on him and the extension required, he likely would have spilled it.

In hindsight, I'd have rather he rolled the dice, but he's been pretty solid thus far in his option taking.

I think the problem was that he would have reached out with his natural hand which is the right and the goal post was in the way

Does this mean we're gonna see a new tackling style where one player holds an attackers arm up while three others lift and drive them head first into the ground and then argue his arm hit the ground first and therefore the tackle is ok.

When I saw it live I thought Macca made the right choice not going for the try, it was a 50/50 call though, he was getting pulled from behind pretty hard.

He was too upright when he first got to the line to be able to plant it, and by the time he was closer to ground he'd been dragged back. Right decision to hold onto it.

You know who is playing well and could definitely play in the halves. Jake Granville. Him and McCullough could swap who plays dummy half and five-eight. He is an ex fullback too so he definitely has the vision needed, and can kick and pass really well.

Oh you Granville fanboys are something.

I can just imagine you guys meeting in an underground bunker somewhere

"Well McCullough stepped up so we can't keep putting Jake at #14 in our ideal sides every Tuesday before teams are named. Anyone got a suggestion to how we can keep throwing his name up in pre match threads?"

"I know! Let's start saying he can be 5/8th."

"Brilliant. Let's start putting Jake at 5/8th in our ideal teams."
