PRE-GAME Round 7 - Broncos vs Sharks

Hopefully Niko has a shocker and change will finally be made

That sounds about right actually. The rest of our spine put in several shockers- nothing to see here.

KNik puts in one shocker- Aha! We've found the problem, let's get rid of him.

The thing is Seibs won't drop milf , it will be Kodi.
I love Kodi as a player but off the bench

>10 missed tackles and close to zero errors, we'll beat any team, easily.

The West Tigers had only 8 errors on Easter Monday with an 81% completion rate and their mistackle count was in the mid 20’s and had less mistackles than the Eels yet they were on the wrong end of a 51-6 score card.

High completion rates are redundant if you have **** all creativity and don’t get repeat sets or if you don’t back it up with a strong kicking game.

Despite that and the many problems we have though, the biggest glaring weakness in our squad is definitely the defense side of things. Too many arm grabs, crap defensive structures, etc.

Eels has 58% of the ball though. I get that some of that is down to getting the ball back after each try, but they had 10 more completed sets. The Tigers just did not have enough ball to build any pressure, and with spending 58% of the game defending, it would have had the same effect as making a heap of errors.

More talk from Milford. First it’s his running game that’s key. Then it’s his combination with bird and now it’s his defence. Next it’s his diet, his kids teething. then it’ll be how many hours he spends on fort nite.

The thought occurred to me today that there are so many young guys making up the team that they could almost be considered as version of the old NYC team. The way they treat defence as a secondary consideration seemed to be the mentality of the NYC teams.

Maybe we might night need to give them a full season playing NRL together before they finally click. Like many other posters on here, I think we need to make an addendum to the 'do the 1%s' and add ' especially in defence'.

The jersey also looks like an under 20s jersey.

We tend to do pretty well in the ANZAC clash.

We haven't lost since 2014 against the Rabbitohs.

Well said - nail on the head. As soon as we all accept this our stress levels will drop, have something to look forward to and we'll be kind to each other again.

O'Sullivan's kicking was good on Saturday, because he got to do some. But it has been far from good.

Half his kick distance has been in one game- 248m v Townsville, up from 6m the week before, 185 and 75.

I said on Saturday night his kicking went well and it goes to the same point I keep making regarding Wynnum and Dearden they're not doing it enough in their teams.

Boyd is the only one that is kicking consistently in quality and amount.

Compare frequency between them and their partner.

Scarlett 83 v Dearden 18
Donovan 31 v Paix 25 v Pratt 20 v Nikorima 19- Dolphins are more equal but sharing it four ways.
Ahearn 36 v Dargan 19 v O'Sullivan 21
Boyd 45 and next best Magpie is 10
What is Paix's kicking like

Get the pitch fork and torches ready @Wolfie

ANTHONY Seibold will bring Matt Lodge straight back into the Broncos’ starting side for tomorrow night’s match against the Sharks in Brisbane.
Lodge was cleared to return from a throat injury by a specialist this week and Seibold will inject him immediately.
Pat Carrigan will be the casualty, the young forward set to have a rest after two good opening games to his NRL career.
But Seibold said Carrigan would likely be needed again as soon as next week, with the Broncos to have their third game in just 11 days next Thursday against the Rabbitohs.
“It was great news from the specialist to have ‘Lodgey’ back,” said Seibold.
“He has probably been one of our best forwards when he has played.
“It is good news so he will start tomorrow night.
“Pat Carrigan won’t play tomorrow.
“He has been really good in the first two games, but we won’t play him in Queensland Cup either as we have three games in 11 days in that period.
“We need some fresh bodies - we play tomorrow night and then we have a short turnaround again.”

Unfortunate but makes the most sense. Patty is has been good in his limited time, but he really needs longer minutes to show his worth

Pangai will do something stupid or get hurt again soon so it won’t be a long wait
