That's exactly what I thought happened. His original kick was meant to be a left-footer. It looks like his left boot got caught in the turf, the ball bounced sideways and he kicked it simultaneously with the second bounce with his right foot.Not sure if it has been mentioned as I haven't read the previous 10 pages, but in the replay of the Slater kick, the ball actually bounced twice before he kicked it. So should have been no try regardless of the rule.
