Bennett said in the post-match presser that they wanted to keep wallace, but the Titans offer was just too good.I think Wallace has been proving a lot of people wrong this year.
We should have kept him.
Injured and hasn't played last two weeks.

Wallace was always a solid player but nothing flashy he needed a long term run on spot and he could not get it here. I'm not too disappointed he left because he wouldn't be run on and doesn't have the amount of impact EseEse and TPJ give.
We've probably got Ese and Sims together on less than what Wallace is on...Friday night he had more impact than Ese'ese. A lot more.
Considering Wallace was a starter when our front row options where out, he would have been a starter this year after McGuire made the switch to lock.
We wouldn't have needed to buy Sims.
No doubt Wallace was brilliant on Friday night, but there's no way you could've predicted that after seeing his performances in a Broncos jersey over the past couple of years.
Don't get me wrong, he was always a solid prop for us - not overly outstanding, but did the job as a bench forward. He certainly didn't provide the impact off the bench that Herman and TPJ have shown this season.
When we made our offer to re-sign him, we didn't have the ability to fast forward into the future and see how well he's played in these opening rounds. We could only go off his performances as part of the Broncos, and I think we tabled him a fair offer.
I actually kind of disagree. Wallace was very good off the bench and seemed to be getting better and better, as well as more consistent. Last year he was one of our better players. He will play origin.
+1I'm with you. He steadily improved last year. Before that he looked to be a perennial plodder, but he finally started to be punishing in defence last year and make good metres post-contact with the ball. The offer from the Titans was not surprising and a lot of us felt he deserved it for his hard work.
With the way the broncos defend by not moving up, most opposition forwards will rack up easy metres before they get tackled.
Why would the broncos playing stop Mead from being able to post? :porthozthinksthisishot:
