I think the Broncos have applied the strategies that worked during the 90's and 2000's that no longer work anymore due to the changes in salary cap and the game. We invested in Senior players that wern't to the same standard of previous players. The reality was that as leaders and players Boyd, Macca, Thaiday, Milford, Gillett, Glenn and McGuire were not the same people and players of our previous senior leadership groups. Predominantly because all the great senior player were in Melbourne when previously they were in Broncos sides. While I think Siebold is not responsible for this he hasn't cleaned up the mess well. If the team were losing but showing character and discipline I would support him all the way. Dean Pay seems to be at least doing these things with the Bulldogs despite their obvious lack of talent on their list. I would move Siebold on now and look at getting an experienced coach that can implement a defensive structure and some creativity in attack that allows players to put their own stamp on it. A simple message to the players and some ability to communicate. I think Kevvie, Toovey or even Griffin with the right assistants could do it. Kevvie did get Milford and Hunt firing in 2015. Luke at least improved our dummy half play last week and gives us something to build around. A left field option would to try and get Cam Smith for a one year deal next year on big money then a move into coaching the following year. However, I don't think he would give up his Melbourne legacy for it to happen.

When someone like Kent makes a specific accusation like that then I would expect someone, be it player, assistant coach or whoever to deny it and call BS.

It doesn't matter if you call them out, the fact you are responding is exactly what they want and why this show will continue for a long time. Despite the fact it is 99% make believe (like the NRL these days), people keep watching it.

Not really talking about going to Kent on Twitter... that's just pointless as they will block you for opposing their view.

Was thinking on the actual publications like fox sports, courier fail, etc.

They can't block you, but at least a bombarding of comments gets across the truth within the comments rather than the general masses taking their word as fact... they also won't respond to a comment (fox, etc.) as that would look weak so it's not really feeding the troll.

No need to give them clicks, as you can typically figure out what mud they're slinging from the headline or it's already a thread on here.

It's the end of the financial year... and not only that it's end of financial year where half has been impacted by Covid.

It would be scheduled for sure, but Hooper and co will make it sound like something serious... it's not the same type of board meeting they have in those chook raffle NSWRL teams down in Sydney we're a publicly listed company

Have the players come out and said anything yet? That's where you will see the truth, if the players come out on Insta and say "lol look at this stuff talking about our coach" then maybe it's BS, but if they remain silent - HMMM!

So that's why we're playing aimless and clueless - I never realised that we were now in a 'salary-cap era'. Glad that's cleared up. I have to ask though what era were we in previously if not a salary-cap?
