Petey B: "Roosters are apparently after Coates and have offered him $3M per season (after TPA's)"

As if they need him the greedy unprincipled *****

Time to chuck a team together... I think decisions need to be made thinking about what the team will look like when we are full strength (I know we may never be full strength again!!)

1. Isaako (but if the long term plan is Niu then they need to start working towards it... he's off contract this year so may as well see if he's got potential to be an NRL fullback)
2. Coates / Isaako (I've got Coates being the starting winger this year, but we do need a left center moving forward and no one is fitting the bill atm... so one of Staggs, Coates or Niu is likely earmarked for it)
3. Niu / Isaako / Coates / Herbie (unfortunately center is a huge issue with Staggs, Bird, Arthars and even Kahu all out... whoever is the long term plan for left center should be moving in)
4. Glenn (can't do a worse job than the garbage currently occupying the position)
5. Herbie (long term winger... sign him up already!!)
6. Milf (if he's dropped it's difficult to go back to him if Dearden also shits the bed... if Dearden is the future then just **** Milf off now and hope his manager finds him a new home starting next year)
7. Croft (I like the look of him... I think he is coping well with the new rules, but no one seems to be coming with him)
8. Lodge
9. Luke
10. Haas
11. Oates (his long term position is now in the forwards... moving him back to the wing was a backwards step. He can start until Fifita comes back and then moves to the bench)
12. TPJ
13. Offa (can see coach going with TPJ as cover for Carrigan, but that will just be more changes... if TPJ is the second row then he should FUCKING stay in the second row!!)

14. Paix / Milf
15. Kennedy
16. Bullemor
17. Teo

Darius... never to be seen again (except flogging his guts out at Red Hill, because man can train!!)

Decisions need to be made on what the plan is for the team moving forward at full strength... when teams cop an injury the next man is up to do the same role... it's not the next man slides over from a different position, old mate moves from wing to back row to wing, whilst someone else moves from left wing to right center.

Starters shouldn't be changing position every week.. that's chaos and doesn't build any consistency.

Who's our long term fullback (Isaako or Niu)??
- Isaako has been very good defensively... so I'd want to be sure that Niu can handle the position before throwing him in there (needs to be training at fullback... not playing 5mins off the bench or filling in at center/wing if that's not the plan)
Pending fullback what is our plan with Isaako/Niu?
- Can Isaako be a center or winger moving forward? if not then is he worth paying as a starter until 2022
Who's our long term left center?? Actually who's our immediate left center... because old mate that is filling the position now can **** right off.
Who are our wingers?? (why say Herbie is a winger and then move him to center!!!!)
- Who are our second rowers moving forward? Fifita has one spot locked down... TPJ kills it in attack, but his defence is woeful... Glenn is gone end of next year, Oates should be moved to the forwards and could be handy... Bullemor has been floated as a future second rower

I just can't see Isaako being a long term fullback. At least not for a club that wants to compete for a premiership. Maybe he can be a winger or a centre if he doesn't ask for a lot of money and we need to balance the squad a bit?

From left field, just for fun.

1. Farnworth
2. Coates
3. Staggs
4. Niu
5. Isaako
6. Milford (last chance)
7. Croft (last chance)
8. Lodge
9. Luke
10. TPJ
11. Haas (speed power and offloads)
12. Oates
13. Glenn

14. Dearden
15. Offa
16. Kennedy
17. T'eo

The more I've thought about it, the more I've liked this idea..

I don't think Carrigan is a lock. He hasn't got the mobility or ball playing ability to be a great one.

TPJ is weak on the edge defensively and often overplays his hand because he doesn't get the ball as often as when he's in the middle.

Here's the solution:

8. Haas
9. Luke
10. Carrigan
11. Glenn (c)
12. Oates
13. Pangai Jr

14. Paix
15. Lodge
16. Flegler / Te'o
17. Ofahengaue / Te'o

1.niu
2.isaako
3.coates
4.farnworth
5.oates
6.deardon
7.croft
8.kennedy
9.luke
10.haas
11.glenn
12.TPJ
13.offa

14.paix
15.lodge
16.flegler
17.te'o

Anyone got a clip of Flegler's incident? I just watched the few mins around 42-43 and I can't see a damn thing except where he got tangled at one point? Is that honestly what this once great game has become?

Mmmm, sorry but that's not really good enough. That's a throwaway explanation and contains no evidence. If you could show us the 'lazy efforts' and 1%ers he's not doing it might help but I suspect you'd look for them and not find much of any significance. I think you've just decided he's shit without evidence but I'll readily admit I'm wrong if you provide some evidence. He's not a problem.
The pictures below are what I’m talking about.
Also, I want to preface this by saying I no longer think this is just a problem with Flegler but a squad wide issue.

Here Flegler gets isolated, sets his feet way to early and gets beaten by Fonua Blake then comes back to commit a silly penalty

Here he makes first contact and fails to wrap the ball up resulting in an offload for Manly

Here both he and Oates watch as Lodge and Haas wrestle with Jake Trbojevic rather than coming in to take his legs.

When are all our current injured Players due back?

Fifita:
Turpin:
Staggs:
Arthurs:
Bird: Season

Clearly you haven't watched them. They haven't been anywhere near as poor as the Broncos since the resumption. It's no sure thing and the Tits may even be favourite! Naturally plenty of silly ***** like me will back the Broncos but the Tits have way superior form.
I have watched them thanks. They are a bottom 2 football team still clearly. Do you actually think they'll be favourites? They have a long way to come in from their current $3 outsider status. 🤔

Reality is we’ll probably win by 16 or so points with Milford scoring a weak solo try. The team will yahoo and high 5 but really It’ll just mask over the month of pathetic football displayed by this team.
