Based on my calculations we’ll either win or lose. Though there’s also % chance we’ll draw.
Could he be a super pest sub? Comes on for 15 mins, pisses the entire team off and then pops smoke?Gamble tried some things and they didn’t come off, but I’d have him in the side purely to be a pest to the opposition and to rev our team up.
He could help with keeping the heads up if we fall behind. Of course he’ll need to make sure he’s not in the bin, but that’s the line he dances on that makes him who he is

Last year against the sharks he had them off their game. As much as Ennis the menace dislikes the Broncos these days, I'd be paying him big consultant rates to give Gamble some pointers.Could he be a super pest sub? Comes on for 15 mins, pisses the entire team off and then pops smoke?
I’m a genius
I thought Gamble was very ordinary and looked uncomfortable playing on the left. A lot of his passing was messy, especially right to left. It looks like it impacted his kicking too.Last year against the sharks he had them off their game. He didn't play real well tonight but it was his first game - so fingers crossed he finds a bit of form and quickly. His ability to get under the skin of others can be a game breaker if wielded intelligently.
The whole team will need to pull their socks up though, give away that many penalties, six again's and dropped ball against the teams we face in the next few weeks (sharks, rabbitohs, manly) and we'll get toweled up pretty hard.
I know Kev want's BWalters in the team - I just don't see where he fits. He's offering nothing either. People figured out his left foot step, that he likes to throw passes easily intercepted when he rushes the line and doesn't have a lot of speed. Gamble at least is a grub. lol

His best kick was the bomb from left to right. Maybe he just needs some time to adjust to working on the left hand side. It would be nice to see him roam around to link up with Reynolds on the right tooI thought Gamble was very ordinary and looked uncomfortable playing on the left. All of our options are poor but I’d probably stick with Gamble a little longer because Billy is even worse.
I really hope Mam learns how to tackle over the next 5 games or so.

Defence = terrible
I agree. He try’s things, when Walters just clams up and steps of his left into defence 90% of the time. Gamble actually looks a better player at first receiver and there where couple of sets after half time where he played first receiver and looked good. Unfortunately it ended with that kick that TPJ pocketed. He didn’t have a great night last night, but again first time playing with Reynolds and I think he’s worth a few weeks to have a look. Walters has had chance to impress for now. Let Turpin take the first 30mins softening up period as Kev called it and get Paix on.Gamble tried some things and they didn’t come off, but I’d have him in the side purely to be a pest to the opposition and to rev our team up.

He needs to do it for 80mins. As good as he was in the last 30mins, he was a passenger for the first 50. We needed some direction, and he wasn't doing it.Reynolds will have to put in an equally superb performance for us to be any chance.
We expected to thrash that side last night. It was to be our easiest game. Our attack, especially in the first half where it hinged on the coach's son, was truly woeful. It wasn't until we wore them out that Reynolds was able to hook up with Cobbo and Staggs and punish them at will. Had we played another twenty minutes it would've been a cricket score.It could just be because I’m ever the optimist, but as terrible as we were last night, that final 30 mins could be the making of our season. I think it finally clicked for Reynolds that although this team has plenty of talent they are really inexperienced. I think he finally worked out he has to be in everything and he seemed to relish in it.
If we can hold our own and stay in the contest I reckon ARey can get us over the line more often than not. He is starting to build some really nice combinations in particular with Oates and Staggs/Cobbo.
Does Walters keep his spot next week?We expected to thrash that side last night. It was to be our easiest game. What worked most last night was us being fitter than the worst team in the competition. That's not going to work against the Sharks. We will need to put attacking combinations together in the first half. Less of this one-out taking it up shit. More of what we saw at the end.
Hopefully not.Does Walters keep his spot next week?
