POST GAME Round 8 - Broncos vs Rabbitohs

Watching Sam Burgess getting interviewed by Freddie... what a fucking joke. His best hit of the night was on a bloke laying on the ground!...and he complained he gets penalised for tackling hard! Whatever Sammie... I'll stick with Ofa and Wallace - who put you in your place!

There was nothing wrong with it though.. It's a contact sport.

Happy with the win, but like others have said, Macca is gonna be a big loss.

I'd probably just play Kodi at #9 next week and see how he goes. Not sure on his replacement, though.

so who replacing macca. pretty sure kodi cant play the 80

Didn't say there was...would've loved to see him pull off a big hit tonight on a guy actually running at him though...

Granville. No. Parcell. No. Waddell?

Im glad Wallace is getting noticed for the right reasons tobight. (We still our Wallace penalty).

Far from our best, but we kept Inglis quiet for most of the night, and bagged a 22 point win. I'll take that any day of the week.

Great effort from the forwards tonight. Showed no respect for the much fancied Burgii and bullied them out of the game. McGuire, Parker, Wallace and Joe O, all can hold their heads high. Ese'ese quite solid too, did his job, no errors or penalties.

Most pleasing was Hunt's performance. Took the line on, passing on point, kicked well. Vision to kick ahead for Roberts was fantastic. He's got his mojo back.

Macca is a big loss. He's got his detractors but he's a big part if our structure. He was making good metres from dummy half tonight. I thought his loss may have been pivotal but we responded well.

Next few weeks will be telling though. Cronulla, Manly, NQ, Tigers and Warriors are our next five. Not exactly a murderers row, but I could see Cronulla and Cowboys exploiting his loss.

It will be interesting to see how we fill the 9 and 14 (or 17) in his absence.

Good tough win by the boys, really muscled up against a big pack tonight.

Reed is a bit of worry tho, his speed seems to be really dropping away and its causing problems in defense.

We also really need to get the ball to Roberts more often and early, he is so under used at the moment.

hahaha look at locky's face as he looks at freddie try to defend his friend sam burgess. hes just thinking your are a absolute tosser lol. priceless

As Johns said, with those stats we should have won by 50. Yes, a good win, 2 points etc etc, but if we are going to play left, we need Kahu not Reed, and we need Roberts to get sone damn ball, That strategy was crap.

Sorry, I thought that was a crap game despite some outstanding individual performances.

The best thing for me was Hunt's return to the form and class we know he has. Easily best on field.

From a judiciary perspective, I hope we fight Joe O's charge. If Matulino can get off, he should be sweet.

Blair will likely miss a week or two for his shot on Reynolds.

Carter should surely get a few weeks. If they're cracking down on contact with refs, surely they can do the same with tripping? Feels like there's been at least two each week of late.
