Sucks about the withdrawals. Although I am extremely happy they have used Kahu in the centers rather than moving Gillett or Glenn. Also looking forward to seeing Wallace in the NRL again...

Yep, good that Kahu gets a run on instead of a backrower out there, BUT, Prince, Kahu and Maranta right side....Inglis and Merritt will have a field day i reckon. Massive test for Kahu so far, sink or swim....hopefully swimming all night!

i think they are a very good team, but:

souths have only really turned up for 80 minutes once this year - last week. the week before, they never looked really looked likely against the storm. prior to that they havent really been tested, and in probably all of those games have had large lapses in concentration, including a very near loss to the warriors. they did beat the roosters in week 1, but the roosters looked off the pace and hadnt gelled properly yet.

its going to be a massive ask for us but if souths feel the effects of last weeks game and we can maintain it for 80 mins then we can win.. maybe. put it this way i will be taking souths in the tipping comp.

This is why I don't want Hodges to play Origin this year, what a waste, whenever he really exerts himself you might as well accept he's gone for an extra week.

did you watch the anzac day match? roosters v dragons? if that's not gelling than idk what is !

And let me just say...well that sucks.

Hope Kahu can hold his own defensively. He's got the toughest assignment in the game in GI so he's in for a tough evening but as long as he doesn't present a huge passage like he did with Sau, he won't be too big a liability. We'll miss Hodges no doubt, he's a leader out there and one of the few who can come up with a big play. I just hope Kahu goes out there and focuses on doing his job. I actually think it won't be that bad, but then again I'm an eternal optimist.

Wallace in for an injured J. McGuire could be an upgrade on last week. Wallace is just the big boppa (along with Hala) that I wanted on the bench and I hope he stakes his claim.

Can't fault anybody tipping Souths now.

Completely agree. After he has a big ga,e the next week he is usually injured. Such a shame. I had to laugh at him talking about a contract extension past 2015.
