Something really encouraging was gamble kicking short for Milford to chase. Even though Milford didn’t score (probably could have if he dived on it), it was shades of 2015.

Oates intercepting and running the length of the field was shades as well. TPJ on Fifita was shades of Thaiday on JWH.

Imagine how good we can look when we string a dozen or so games together with the same combinations and, more importantly, put together an 80min performance.

22 nil down, I loved seeing Oates revving up the boys after our first try, yelling at them to come across to celebrate. He’s been great since coming back and I think a big contributor to the attitude shift since he’s been back.

Gamble was in everything and did not stop talking. Should be incredibly proud of himself, massive part of the win tonight.

I know you think he is a natural 6 but he definitely played like a 7 today, the communication and direction it was his team today.

This isnt a put down on Gamble or his performance because he was excellent and i hope people dont take it the wrong way, but for me its a bit like the situation we had when Turpin first came in. Just like when we needed something different at hooker, we have become so desperate for a half that just does the basics well and competes we are over the moon about it.

Long term, he is a 6, no question in my mind. I guess we will see a bit more if he can handle the 7 long term when we are put in a position where we need him to manage a close game. At the moment though, he is exactly what we have to have in the side. A bit like the team as a whole though, this type of performance needs to be backed up.

I thought Gamble was honestly awesome tonight.

He's the first halfback we've had in a couple of years who has straightened the attack up and taken the line on before going out the back to Milford / Isaako, was an absolute delight to watch. Those boys had so much time to work with because of Gamble digging in to the line.

That last 7-8 minutes was the most nervous I've been watching a Broncos game since 2015. Can't believe we pulled it out of the fire.

Gamble impressive and his confidence is something this side has missed dearly.

TPJ just continues to improve. I was a big hater a few years ago but he's really knuckled down and focused on his footy. He would always go for the big plays or make dumb decisions that would cost the team but it looks like kevvie really has him firing now. And he can only get better.

A really solid team performance. Some of tries were slick. Our ball handling was on point tonight. Made that ball sing.

What a feeling.

Did you notice towards the end of the game whenever Fifita was tackled, he was grimacing? TPJ did a number on him tonight.
