Fai- 56 minutes, 16 runs, 209m, 88 PCM, 4 tackle breaks, 2 offloads, 18 tackles, 2 missed tackles, 3 ineffective.

Sa'u 80 minutes, 2 tries, 14 runs, 157m, 47 PCM, 1 try assist, 1 line break assist, 2 offloads, 28 tackles, 3 missed tackles, 2 ineffective.

Joe- 71 minutes, 1 try, 19 runs, 226m, 71 PCM, 1 try assist, 2 line breaks, 12 tackle breaks, 24 tackles, 1 missed tackle, 1 ineffective.

Backs up what I said- Joe was enormous.

Fai and Su'A were great too. Do you see them getting a shot in first grade soon?

Looking at the stats Fai would have been the better option to replace TPJ, makes more post contact metres and would offer more impact off the bench.

I feel Joe's playing style and body shape is suited to lock and I can see a team coming in to grab him this year with the amount of money broncs are throwing around

It is nice, but it isn't equating to the extra metres.

Fai showed that he has more impact in the World Club Challenge game.

How does tackle breaks not equate to extra meters? That's exactly what it equals. Joe made more meters than both of them. Sorry I don't understand your point.

When Joe made one of those busts beating four Cutters and running into the clear he passed to Su'A to score. Su'A had nothing in front of him but the Brisbane River- those meters are Joe's too.

Joe's try he pushed through the line and scored swatting them away. His tackle breaks equaled meters and a try.

So you believe Joe is the better option over Fai?

I would guess the "impact" statement comes from the fact that Fai had 17 more post-contact metres with 3 less runs, in 15 less minutes.

I would take someone that can break tackles over someone that can make a few more metres.

As said above, tackle breaks create offload options.

Joe is also a better defender from what I've seen of the two.
