Does Wb send more traffic at Milf who's struggled and knows his weaknesses or Dearden?

I haven’t really seen much of this Deardon guy, what style does he play? Is there anyone to hold in comparison?

Jeez I feel for Kodi. Poor bugger's been with us for half his life and for it to all unravel early in the season like this has got to hurt.

Yeah true, but I’m sure a three and a half year deal in his home country will soften the pain. I really wish the bloke all the luck in the world

Maybe the cork is a ruse and theres legit smoke to the warriors rumour.

That’s exactly what is being reported, he doesn’t wanna play because of what’s going on and Chris Garry has just said the Broncos don’t see a point in him playing this week with everything swirling around.

Hardly the ideal preparation for a big game....

.. or is it ?

Well a good deal of us have been asking for a change in the halves for a long time now and we finally have our wish, lets just keep perspective here tho, this is not going to be a magic fix but rather just another step in the direction we need to go.

TPJ possibly out with the flu also.

Maybe I'm remembering the wrong side, but wasn't there a game where Tallis (?) stole the ball from Souffs with like a few seconds to go and we ended up with an unlikely win? That was pretty memorable moment.

The way things happen for him, like a dodgy bounce off a defender lands in his lap or a kick off the posts rebounds straight into his hands reminds me of the stuff JT would come up with. I'm not saying he is as good as JT it was just this thought came to mind when I watched him play.

I think we got a real good un though.

Yeah JT always seemed to have the rub of the green in those 50/50 moments. Would be great to have that on our team for once!

This is the game that I immediately went looking for in the article.

South Sydney 20
Brisbane 22
South Sydney coach Paul Langmack was heading down to level three of the stadium ready "to celebrate with the team" and Brisbane coach Wayne Bennett was inside the tunnel "with my losing speech ready" - both thinking the Rabbitohs had pulled off the upset of the season yesterday.

But with just 12 seconds remaining in the game, Gorden Tallis stripped the ball from Souths prop Paul Stringer, sent it wide and centre Brett Tate scored a remarkable try, devastating the parochial crowd of nearly 10,000.
The Souths fans reacted violently, kicking seats, booing and sticking fingers in the air as referee Shayne Hayne checked with the video referee as to the legality of the ball strip.
The Souths players slumped as one on the ground as the try was awarded and the scoreline switched from a two-point triumph to a two-point loss.
"It was almost like holding the winning ticket for the Melbourne Cup and there is a protest 1600m out," said Rabbitohs hooker Shane Walker. "It's worse than being beaten by 40 ... but we can't pat ourselves on the back saying we've had two good losses."
Certainly it was a cruel end to the match, particularly as footage of an earlier try to Tallis showed he may have lost the ball over the line. However, on that occasion the referee awarded the try without reference to the video.
Tallis would later admit he didn't even know if stripping was still allowed in the game but was prepared to give Souths a penalty if it didn't come off. "I've played the game long enough, I thought, I'll try to do it ... it just happened to work," he said.
Certainly as Tallis went in for the tackle, fellow forward Brad Meyers held off, sensing what his captain was about to do.
Stringer was shattered in the Souths dressing room.
"I want to forget it, I don't want to have to see it or read about it. I'm a bit upset about it," he said.
Langmack said his players were "cranky, very cranky".
"Last week we played with passion and made errors, technical stuff let us down, but today we should have won."
Bennett concurred. He said his Broncos team had played without enthusiasm, an unacceptable situation for the second week of the competition.
"Week 22, yes, but not week two. We played our best in the last 10 minutes and we should be playing that way from the kick-off. It was bad luck from their point of view but smart play from Gorden. That's experience, that's what you look for in players."
Bennett was critical of his side's pivot play and dummy-half work but was full of praise for ever reliable winger Michael De Vere. Even Tallis admitted to missing a few vital tackles and taking Souths too easy.
Souths had looked to have the game in hand after extending a 14-12 scoreline to 20-12 with 10 minutes remaining when Owen Craigie intercepted a pass and outsprinted the Broncos' wingers for 70 metres to score.
Centre Chris Walker, who had been sidelined with a broken wrist, was joyously pumping the air, in sync with the raucous supporters, at a seemingly sure-fire win against his old club.
But then Tallis chip-kicked behind play for De Vere to score. In the final minute, enthusiastic defence from Souths' Nathan Merritt, Walker and Fletcher appeared to have held the Broncos at bay when Brisbane winger Stuart Kelly was held up just centimetres from the line and the ball was handed over. But it was not to be.

Here it is - 2003.
