POST GAME Round 8 - Warriors vs Broncos

So do you think Seibold is the guy to coach this team?

Too early to tell. He needs to be given the chance to fix the mistakes made with the roster and see what happens.

What I do know is that a coaching change won’t fix a thing. We’re still not going to have the leadership we desperately need. This side is still going to be mentally weak.

Sorry....but that game is just silly, its the only sport in the world that gives you a 'feelgood' point for missing.
I think if the goal wasn't worth 6 points it would be more like Gaelic football and the scoring of a behind would be more worthwhile. In fact, if the goal system were more like Gaelic football the sport would be better, but kicking an egg into a soccer goal would be weird.

I can't agree with that at all.

Any other coach in the NRL would have this team playing way better then they are. His time is up and it's time to cut our losses.

Couldn't pay me to watch the lions.

Would rather watch Panthers v Tigers and play pretend wishing we did things and played how other NRL teams are.

Im sure young guys have some resentment towards the old boys on big contracts who are MIA but seem to be a protected species.

Why should they care when the guys getting paid 10x more then them don't. Why bother going to the effort of putting points on the board when 5 minutes late Boyd will run out of the defensive line and hand a try to the opposition.

Why are kids at the post-match press conference and the big salary boys sitting in the sheds?

I just want to expereince that winning feeling again...

To be fair, the lions came from being 3x premiers to cellar dwellers for a long period

They really wouldn’t. If you don’t have good leadership in a side, especially in the youngest team in the comp, that side is going to crumble especially once injuries start occurring and that sides starts losing a couple of games.

Good leadership is absolutely critical.

"I thought we showed some great emotion after the game tonight, we'll learn from that"

- Anthony Seibold

That’s only cause they got in the shit last week for laughing. Trying to take the pressure off this week with some tears.

I agree more senior leadership would help, but going to have to agree to disagree on the coaching situation. To me it is untenable and it is clear that the coaching is of a very low standard and must be changed yesterday.

Isn't that why we have Boyd, Milford, Oates and Hass in the team? To provide leadership and direction on field, over 600 games between them and they still have no idea how to lead the other 13 players?

As one example, does Haas need to be coached to stand 15 metres back at the play the ball to run onto the pass at full speed as opposed to just hanging around and taking it flat footed? I might be wrong. It could be a complex proposition from Wittgenstein, or he just couldn't give a ****?

Up until tonight I was not convinced on how good Tesi Niuwas, but he looks the goods. Haas was still good and Coates and Farnworth both gave good accounts of themselves. Oates was deadset putrid and Ro celebrate 150 games in that fashion should be giving himself a few uppercuts. Milf was fekkin tragic once again and was abaley supported by Boyd. Carreigan tried his heart out. Kennedy was a mistake free honest toiler. Just wondering when Flegler and TPJ are due back.

Too early to tell? If Seibold is a good or bad coach?

Lmao, that's absolutely ridiculous.

Are you on this planet?
Are you watching what the rest of us are watching?

We are literally falling apart as a team, club and organisation and you think it's too early to tell if Pies is a good or bad coach? He needs a chance?

Seibold should of been sacked yesterday!

Not sure why you picked that as an example... Not sure Haas could have done much else, he had 21 runs for 205 metres.

The team needs to be coached better in almost all areas. All the fundamentals need to be taught and attacking and defensive structures need to be thrown out, because they aren't working.

There is clearly a huge coaching issue.
