PRE-GAME Round 9 - Broncos v Cowboys

Given how the Cowboys have been playing him lately I wouldn't be too concerned, our middles will handle him easily for the 40min he's on the park. Molo off the bench is more of a worry and that says everything you need to know.

I'd be sending all the traffic at Drinkwater. Make him tackle so much he's too fatigued to do anything in attack.

Hampton is rubbish and they'll fall apart if he has to run the show.
I believe Hampton is highly unlikely to be fit at this stage.

He might only be a first year NRL coach, but he knows complacency when he sees it. It must be excruciatingly painful teaching some of these young bucks the meaning of consistency when they have the attention span that is less than your average goldfish.*

* A BBC report says that the average attention span of a young adult is down from 12 seconds in the year 2000 to eight seconds now. That is less than the nine-second attention span of your average goldfish.

I hope he can get them to commit to simple footy. I think I remember someone saying on hear that Kevvie has been hard pressed getting them to stick to the basics as they easily get ahead of themselves.

As a fan, it's frustrating to watch them making easy meters playing good simple footy for 10 minutes only to piss it all away by switching over to low percentage plays. Even those final 15 minutes against the Titans I thought we went away from what works, but luckily the Titans execution wasn't good enough to make us pay.

With the amount of money and talent we have in the forwards, that's where the ball needs to go and the backs just need to catch and pass when we have them for numbers out wide.

Embrace the power game Broncos!

Listen up cocksuckers:

I reckon kevvie is nervous they are going to come out against the cowboys thinking they can score off every second set like the titans let them. We never really got the opportunity last week to build pressure & earn line dropouts because the titans defence was soo poor. We have no right going into the game with that attitude. We need to be patient & composed.

I don't mean to put any pressure on the lads, but now would be a brilliant time to making winning a bit of a habit.

With us trying to keep some quality young guys and bring in some tallent from outside i guarantee the conversations are alot easier with the narrative of us having a new CEO just starting, new coach starting to really influence the team and us starting to win our share of games.

They really need to use this wave of confidence from the titans win, combined with Donuts turning up and kevie rubbing off on them as the turning point.

Can you imagine the media if we happen to retain Coates and Staggs as well as get the signature of a big name Sydney halfback as well as string together some wins😂.

Anyway the point I'm making is if we can get a good win here and make it back to back and suddenly these young guys who are walking away start to stop and think "maybe this place is starting to turn around and come good".

Public holiday yesterday made me forget today was TLT.

It’s not much, but it helps me get through work 🤣

I'm a bit surprised the Cowboys are fairly decent favourites in this game.

Cowboys: $1.54
Broncos: $2.50

Holmes is going to slaughter us. If we give him broken field play on the kick return we are cooked, maybe TPJ running at the FB in the line? really test out his defence, and if they pull a lockyer and put a body guard on him, the quick shift should provide a 12 on 11 overlap.
