Surely hodges stays at 5/8 (well i think he should). He actually looked like a 5/8 compared to the garbage that hoffman has been showing in the same position. If hook plays the hoff at 5/8, that will be the last straw in terms of my opinion on him. Hodges (5/8).......Hoffman (wing/centre) is a much better option? surely?

You just don't know what his definition of form is. We know he doesn't like errors, that's why they've had the creativity bashed out of them in favour of percentage football. Maybe the boys were being slack during training the week before the game, and he put out a mandate getting tough - like completing the set after points is critical and anyone who makes an error will be dropped. I'd be more critical if he didn't stick to his guns if that were the case, regardless of how well Hannant performed overall.

Even if they are, we surely would put aside our differences where Thaiday is out and Kennedy is doubtful. Hannant probably had his best game of the season against Souths.

I've been touting J.Wallace for ages on this forum - he's a keeper for sure and is heading towards 30 minutes a game.

Not a massive Hala fan. Yes, he might have 1 or 2 momentum building hit ups a game, but his endurance and defence are both woeful. Watch his technique carefully - he's the heaviest guy on the field, going low every time and having to get up off the ground from each tackle. He should be coached out of that in this day and age, it just blunts his explosiveness and fatigues him too quickly.

well if thats the case its either because the broncos don't want to offer him a contract, or their offer is too low.

i dont see how that warrants dropping him, if that forces him to look to other clubs for a new contract.

Odds on Hodges will step into the 6 during out attacking raids. The way the Souths defence hung off him and allowed him to throw those cut out balls all night to Vidot and Maranta...

We also know he has picked Kennedy as starting prop so if form really had anything to do with it Kennedy would be playing Q cup. Lets be honest Hannant being dropped is bullshit.

I really do not like this idea that people have about players getting a starting spot only because of the fact that they lack an impact off the bench.

I don't think it's too unreasonable, Cult. As Pete said, Lowrie is more of a solid no-thrills workhorse. Giving him seven minutes of the bench is a bit of wasted selection. I can't remember if he played more minutes at the Storm but I would say so. I was a fan of Kennedy starting despite poor bench form - if only for the fact that it would force him to get more involved and increase his work rate. I think he's playing worse so you may have a point.

One issue here is that this side IMO MUST get a settled attacking structure ASAP and stick to it for the rest of the season

It's almost half way through the season and other sides are seriously starting to get their shit together

For mine, a settled structure allows Barba to understand the structures and settle in. Against Souths, he looked lost to me with Hodges at 5/8

In fact, I couldn't tell who was who in the halves.

For mine, continual positional changes, attacking here, defending there, and changing it is a recipe for confusion and disaster

i wonder if Hannant had already told hook that he was planning to leave, so in response Hook dropped Hannant to focus on developing players like Wallace and Hala into consistent NRL players.

it is the exact same thing Bennett did to Hodges, when Hodges told him he was off to the Roosters.

Griffin is employed by his best mate who is also a dud when it comes to running anything and when you combine the 2 amigos with the 3rd boundary rider in Gee you end up with the 3 stooges version of the 3 amigos - now is that confusing - probably and hell yes so are those 3 idiots

I have been a supporter of the Broncos since day 1 and have followed Rugby League all my life but I am now at the stage where I really don't care anymore if we win or lose - Griffin - Gee and White have basically destroyed my interest and my passion for the Broncos - if they don't care - and they will tell you they do - then how or why should I care anymore.

When we have a coach who makes the stupid idiotic decisions he continually makes - changing the way Barba plays - keeping Hoffman at 5/8th when it was clearly shown against the rabbits that their are better options available - keeping Reed in the team when they have better options - wanting to get rid of Hannant who yard for yard is one of the best forwards we have when given game time and when clearly they have signed a dud in Kennedy - when he never uses his full bench and wonders why we get beaten in the last 10 minutes of most games and when we have Gee up until now do the hiring and fireing and making terrible decisions and a CEO that supports those decisions as both blokes then why should i care anymore

you are kidding yourself - you play your best form players ALL the time in every game - but hey we are not a genius like Hook!!!!!!!!!
