I was thinking the same thing, I don't mind the occasional time where he tries to break the line but you got to create doubt in the defence and he makes it too easy to read, I know Maranta isn't exactly a try scoring machine but still.

Line speed sucks, Hunt's endless bombs landing 10-15m out of the try line are driving me nuts.

Sharpen up or Penrith will get desperate enough to start offloading and scoring arsey tries.

It's been a high quality contest.

Penrith are clearly missing a lot of spark without Segeyaro and others but their defence has kept us honest and has really frustrated us.

Brisbane are giving as good as they're receiving but just half a step short of where they need to be. Last tackle kicking continues to be an issue and couple of passes are missing the mark.

Concerned about the second half. Brisbane are really going to have to go another gear because Penrith look like they have another gear in them.

Our last tackle kicking options have been poor for a long time. Not sure it's something Hunt has in his game tbh.

Pretty poor/lazy first half for mine, we must just about have the slowest moving defensive line in the competition, we are conceding a stack of territory. Our play the balls are also taking an eternity............ admittedly aided by the refereeing tho, the Panthers are laying all over us in the ruck, hands on the ball and the refs are just letting it go.

Certainly working in the Panthers favour.

I'm worried we haven't taken this game seriously and are just expecting to show up and easily beat the Panthers.
