Blair on the wing would be unstoppable.

Eastwood on the wing - ah, those were the days.

You obviously watched the classic match on Foxtel this evening ..... Broncos Vs Storm ... round 23 2006

That game was on?!

Loved the first half, if only we didn't play so poorly in the opening 20 in the second half.

I'll never forget Eastwood's performance against the Warriors in NZ that year. Helped set up one of our best tries of that season.

Justin Hodges was diabolically good in that game!
And the Storm's dirty tactics, with grapple tackles and chicken wings on display, were quite evident too...

Despite losing, I thought we were the better team.

Definitely, it was only that second half period where we lost Tupou and our side was unsettled that we lost our way for a period of time.

I just love how that performance came from out of no where, we'd been dog ordinary against teams like Canberra and the Tigers but once we moved Thaiday into the backrow, BAM, our forward pack turned into monsters.

I distinctly remember after the Wests Tigers game messaging a friend of mine saying WAYNE BENNETT MUST GO....NOW!

Oh how I was eating my words 8 weeks later! [icon_lol1.

You tend to go off prematurely, don't you? [icon_razz1

That's what my wife said. Oh....wait...did I just burn myself?

ha yeah, watching the Canberra game where nothing went right, i was livid, saying **** this shit!! we do this every year!!! then a couple of months later webcke and lockyer lifting the trophy in one of the greatest moments in the worlds history. that storm game went a long way towards the boys taking the title.

Did Locky just slip up in post match interview after test saying the he can " focus on tomorrow now".
Does that mean he is playing ????

Griffin interview would suggest that he doesn't care what Lockyer wants to do.

That's not true, Griffin said in a CM article it's Lockyer's decision.

EDIT: Looks like Champion is injured.

He's just saying if the medical staff think the players aren't fit to play they won't play.

Can't see them saying "sorry, you're too tired". It'll depend on whether there's any niggling pain when they wake up this morning.

Well we know Hodges won't play and highly doubt Thaiday would play given his groin injury. Lockyer is a chance but it depends on how he pulls up. Yow Yeh should play if he pulls up well and Hannant could easily play 20-30 mins off the bench if he pulls up well. That said I have no problem with resting all of them and giving the kids a chance to show there worth. Especially want to see Hunt in the halves and Gagai given another go.

Cant see Hodges, Lockyer or Thaiday backing up. Im pretty sure Thaiday played the whole 80mins and was a machine (except from a couple of dropped balls). The Broncos right side attack is going to ge good if they can work on it a bit more. Hodges was great last night. Looked 1000x more dangerous then SKD or Inglis. Lockyer's kicking game was great again.

Hannant played outstanding also. He must have played 40mins. He was on the park in the first 15min mins so i cant see him backing up either but if he wants to play then let him. He started the season a bit unfit but now is playing like the 09 Hannant.

The only persons who may back up is Yow Yeh i would think. He played well without being at his damaging best. I wouldnt mind him being given a rest also so Gagai can be given a run. He is a real talent.
