[Rumour] The Hunt for Karmichael's return to Broncos.

Forgot the name of the joint he played for, such a terrible name for any sports team

Not the worst buy any means. When one of my sisters played soccer at Logan Uniting they played against a team called the Beauy Spongebobs  Now that's a terrible name.

I have heard from a reliable source that Hunt himself is actually yet to make up his mind on whether he will stay or go, and the Suns statement was merely rumour control. He should, however decide sooner rather than later. Just what I have been told, so take from that what you will.

The suns are an absolute joke to continue with this charade. What does it do to your young playing roster that someone is being kept out of the side, someone who grew up playing, lives and breathes, has the muscle memory for AFL, By a cynical marketing exercise.

Nice source bro's
Do you have a better source? So what, things are not always right. Sometimes the players involved, shock horror, change their mind about what they want to do too... You know, one day I think I want to apply for that job and work there, second day I might wake up and think I'd rather stay where I am...

I appreciate people passing on their information, whether it be right or wrong, it doesn't matter. You can't predict the future, even if what a source tells you at the time is true, it may no longer be the next morning, nothing is static.

I could understand if the rumour was "Karmichael is potentially looking to leave the Suns and take up an offer with the Broncos, but he's still undecided"

Instead of "Karmichael Hunt has signed with the Broncos, it will be announced within 2 weeks, he's playing Five-Eighth"

Greg Inglis was signed and sealed, that didn't work out either really. Maybe he got pissed off at something the club did and decided to not take the offer? Maybe the club had a change of heart and thought he wasn't worth the money.

If he was signed it would be announced immediately, there's no way he'd be at pre season with the Suns if he was signed by the Broncos officially. More like has agreed to terms and will make it official in two weeks. And sure, they may have but things change. The news websites ran with a similar story too, so either someone was feeding bullshit to a lot of people or things changed and the deal fell apart.

Maybe he did actually want to sign but went back to ask the Suns and they said no, so they basically pushed out a PR article to deny the whole thing had any legs.

It was passed off as a rumour though, sure, maybe they shouldn't dress it up but seriously who cares if they do? Are members really that upset that they spent twenty minutes speculating about a five eigth that isn't Jordan Kahu?

Until Hunt's management confirms the report, I doubt this is the end of the rumour. It would not be the first time a player has done something behind the club's back, it won't be the last either.

Exactly. I'm not sure why through a PR release from his current club we all assume that this is over, what else would the suns do? they are providing a professional front while this is sorted out one way or another. If there was nothing to this or if it was completely over hunt himself would have said something through twitter. This is no different to what the bulldogs did while they were sorting out barbas release and its no different to what we are doing with Hoffman.

If Hunt returns to the NRL next year it will be done the same way Falou's exit was. Big press conference to dress it up like this all wasn't a PR stunt

Apparently the Suns have now "confirmed" that Hunt is playing with them next year. I don't know how much certainty there really is in the statement, but it would appear that in the space of two days he's gone from joining us soon to staying in the AFL. :dontknow:

As a wise man once said, "Things change bro"

Yeah, going back over the comments made by all parties, there's really nothing to say that he's definitely staying with the Suns.

News Limited say that "Karmichael Hunt will stay with Gold Coast after the Brisbane Broncos failed to lure him back to rugby league".

Big words for a story that seems far from over.
