[Rumour] The Hunt for Karmichael's return to Broncos.

Eh, most of the teams being named are based purely on reputation and hope more than anything else.

I don't see anything surprising in naming a former Test player. Realistic? Probably not, but as fans, who else is going to believe in him?

I'd love him to prove me wrong, I'm not a doctor but i would think it would be physically impossible for him to return to even a shadow of his former self. Don't get me wrong I'm a fan of him, but this was not just any injury, like vertigo said its an injury you would just be happy to be walking after.

That's true but at the end of the day no one knows. People have been told they will never walk again and do, doctors have said people are braindead and should pull the plug and they have pulled through. The kid has been through enough and I think all most people are asking is lets just wait and see what happens before writing him off

I knew a guy, who when I was younger, was involved in a car accident just down the road from my house. Almost lost his right foot - It was literally hanging on by a few threads. Doctors put it back on and he required a lot of surgery, but the dude can walk, run and do everything.

Yow Yeh will be fine.

I get some people are naturally negative but given what Yow Yeh was able to do as a young man pre-injury, at least get behind him for his return. If he isn't up to it, so be it but be a REAL supporter and get behind one of the good guy players!

I don't think it has anything to do with being a real supporter as you put it. I personally would rather see him put his health first and not push himself to an unrealistic return.also if that meant never playing footy again then well so be it.

It isn't unrealistic just because you say or think it is though. I don't know if you are a doctor but of the doctors who have spoken about it, I am not aware of any who have said he will be unable to return. Unless you are a doctor or have information that pertains to knowing more than the specialists do, I don't see how not playing is 'put(ting) his health first.' I think supporters should do everything they can to show this lion-hearted kid their support and that must just be EXACTLY what he needs to take that final step back on to the field. The kid wants to play, the doctors have no problem with it, why should I or you not back him 100%?

all we can do is wait and see. imo he will never be back.

About nine years ago, yes. Hunt wouldn't get a look in now with Slater, Inglis, Boyd, Barba all better than he would be at present for the fb spot. He would also have DCE, Friend, Barba all ahead of him for the bench utility spot.

You can't really say that, as there is no way to know how much he would have evolved by now.

I still think Hunt was better than Slater before he left. MUCH more reliable, and a far better ball player. Now Slater has improved since then (though he is still fairly unreliable at times), but who knows what Hunt would have been like in the future.

This argument always seems to come up in BHQ every now and then.
