Get rid of 4 Sydney Teams? Who?

The only club that can afford to be misses is the Sharks. Every other Sydney club has a leg to stand on so I'd love to see how you're going to get rid of 4 Sydney teams.

I'll personally ring each CEO of the 4 teams selected to get rid of and tell them they are shit and are not wanted or needed in the NRL.

IMO Two Sydney clubs have to go.
Cronulla has to die or relocate(preferably die) and two clubs need to either Merge or one re-locate. The Sydney market is too saturated and would be better off with one less team there and one more team in an area where it can stand on it's own leg (which means not running on losses continuously). With two Sydney teams out of the way the market would be less saturated and the clubs remaining might be able to run at less of a loss or shock horror just break even.

Poor teams in Sydney are holding the game back.

The NRL have reached the proverbial fork in the road; is the survival of 16 clubs of more benefit to the competition than 10-12 elite clubs. Whichever decision is made, 'feelings' will be hurt. If we continue down the 16-club route we will become a competition that prepares players for a career with deep-pocketed AFL or Rugby. If we drop 4-6 clubs there will be thousands of disappointed fans. The solution is the 2012 media deal; unfortunately we've arrived there two years early; in the mean time we'll lose the likes of Thurston, Folau, Slater and Inglis (in addition to those we've already lost). As for my opinion; drop or merge the dead-weight.

Players are easier to replace than Fans or clubs IMO. Changes do need to be made and a couple of Sydney teams do need to be moved IMO.
