I'm
not really surprised Cronulla are going well because I actually expected it this year. Early in the season I felt that Flanagan was an inspired choice. He seems to have cottoned on to the fact that league is pretty basic and if those basics are tended to the results will be strong. With only one superstar (gallen) to speak of they appear to have gone for a hardwork/tradesman approach.De Gois Bakuya Mills Robson and Carney have been excellent. No frills just solid. I tipped them to finish in fourth after they had lost the early rounds // Excellent weekend alround with the Qld teams and Cronulla saluting...

Definitely a top 8 team. their defence was a bit crap yesterday though. The Raiders were worse than worse.

I can't see that a team that brings John Moris on as replacement hooker has any chance of actually winning the comp. (I hope I just didn't jinx the sharks into winning the comp).

I don't see where the Sharks are failing when it comes to scoring points. They have outscored at least 10 of the other teams and have the fourth best points differential. Of course on this site evidence, stats and well considered opinions have little value. Sweeping statements are the norm here. Mr Lix as usual puts his imprimatur on the topic. Broad and ill considered, the hallmark of his missives.

Coxy, it's just that you dismiss so many things that are at odds with your beliefs. It would be great to see your tendency towards snap judgements mature a little. Not making silly statements like Cronulla being the 2008 model all over again when the season is 8 games old. Unless you are Nostrocoxyimus you can not possibly judge this seasons efforts before they have even occurred !!!!..at best you could say this season is similar to 2008. When your forward leader is arguably the best in the world and your halves are competent and mature you have a real chance to make an impression this year.

All I'd ask of you is to cut people a little slack. I dislike bringing up Nutley again(smacks of gloating,repugnant) but it is important to remember that you can be wrong sometimes and very very wrong at other times. Maybe not so certain of your judgement, allow for the fact you may be proven wrong especially when it comes to predictions, the hardest field in the world at which one can excel.
