Sharks under Flannagan

What a surprise the Sharks are so far this year. They are playing a basic structure and looking to offload when they can. It really promotes supporting the ball carrier and and is great to watch.

I'm liking what I see so far from Flannagan giving his side a chance to play whats in front of them, I hope it succeeds and other teams realize they don't have to play the bland gemeric brand of footy we have seen from most teams in the last couple of years.

Well they have the best pack in the competition, so they're half way through to a premiership.

I was only talking to a mate friday about how every team in the comp would be jealous of their pack. Only team to rival them would be Canberra, but even then having an all Test-playing back row plus to top 10 props is someting most teams can't boast.

In the predictions thread I tipped Wade Graham to be the surprise packet of the year. The kid is a player.

Gotta admit I thought they would go shit but they have shocked me, they are playing awesome and look a top 4 team if they can keep it up. Gallen is also an amazing player.

It's refreshing to see a team that has improved, a lot seem to have gone backwards.

Thought I'd throw this up again. Flannagan has improved them since last year even though they lost a couple of players, picking Carney up didn't hurt but the coach is doing a great job.

They're playing good footy, and a lot of their lesser lights are stepping up and playing above their normal mediocre level.

The Sharks always seem to have a purple patch somewhere in the season as you can tell by this thread.

Injuries are starting to pile up, let's wait until Origin is over before we start wrapping Flanagan.

They have been playing really well and are giving their fans plenty to smile about. If they continue playing like this and if Carney and Gallen continue to fire they could do something special. Early days though.
