I would say talks to that effect (whether with GI or others) have been in play for weeks knowing in all likelihood Folau would jump ship.

Don't we need Inglis to ask to be released or be told to look elsewhere by the Storm for us to sign him>??? [icon_shru
Yes but the fact is he will have to be released. No way they will let go of Smith or Cronk IMO it's Slater and or Inglis who are going to go.Bucking Beads said:Coxy said:Donny said:I say lets step up the GI talk and make it happen now that Folau is leaving.

Isn't Tolman just a junior who has come through the grades? He would probably be on a low salary and both have to be replaced by minimum wage players who are 55k minus 110k off your figure. IMO they still have to release either Inglis or Slater and 1-2 solid first graders.Coxy said:I read yesterday that the investigation has so far revealed the Storm intended paying $5.4 million for their squad next year.
The salary cap is going up to $4.4 million next year.
Tolman and Finch are going which apparently reduces the salary bill to about $4.9 million, so they need to offload another $500K.
I read in some article yesterday that the Broncos are interested in Tate. Although he's not the worst choice, I'd certainly prefer GI.Donny said:If the Broncos dont get Inglis I think we could be in for a tough season without the "strike" weapon in the backline. Hodges is definately a strike weapon but he is always injured or suspended so we need Ingliss next year!!!!
I just hope we dont go for some older player who we pay massive overs for ie: Brent Tate!!!!!

broncospwn said:Definitely not Tate, he had his time here and he's getting on, GI is young, superstar and plays left centre.
Hodges + Inglis centre pairing is pure jizz.

As opposed to diluted jizz?
