No Lockyer after any of the Origin games, which will probably extend to Hodges and Thaiday at least also. Looks like we are set for some more short term pain for long term gain. I'd back the Broncos minus the Origin players against Manly (which is actually at Suncorp for the double header), but we'll be up against it for the Dragons at WIN.

I understand what he is trying to do, but I really don't know if I agree with it. If the players are fit and want to play, let them play and rest them later in the season when we have an easier opponent rather than Manly or St George.

I'm more than happy for him to rest Darren and Hodges when they've just played Origin and only had a two or three day turnaround. Better to give them plenty of time to properly recover from what will be the most physical, fastest games of the season than to give them a rest for no reason later in the year.

Fair enough, I can see the sense in it as I said, particularly for Hodges who has the doubtful injury history. Locky though has been doing it for 10 years.

Locky's 34 now. Let's take no chances in getting him to the end of the season.
