Good to hear.

I'm still not convinced, our wins have come up against three very ordinary sides in some very low quality games. Monday night will be very interesting to watch, Newcastle aren't a top side but are keeping every side honest and if we're not on they could win quite comfortably.

All true but I feel the culture.is changing for the better. We would not have won the games we have this year last year.

I don't think we would have won those games based on a similar scenario, relying on our defence but we would have been stronger in attack, especially with Folau in the side.

I'm happy with Hook too, have been since I saw his sensible approach to Under 20's coaching where he valued the basics and moulded a team together as opposed to a side based on individuals. A lot of the younger guys respect him which is important as they're the foundation of the club, when they perform we can beat just about anyone (check the Storm game last season).

My only concern for the future is how we'll handle the retirement of Lockyer. Dealing with life after Locky is the key for the future of the Broncos.

With that said, I'm fairly happy with the quality players coming through the Broncos system and believe we've given ourselves the best chance we've got of remaining succesful.

It's still early in the comp, and while we've only beaten the bottom 3 sides on the ladder, each one of them was coming off a drubbing and was desperate for a good performance (or BBF if you want), making it all the tougher to grind a win.
The Cowboys, who look like they might be a top 8 team this year, especially if they gain consistency with their old firm firing up, were the only team that beat us. Even then, we kept them to their lowest score of the season and we had enough opportunities to win the game.

We've got the most important ingredient (defense) well greased and a renewed steeliness in our spine.
This team seems to want to work really hard for their coach and each other.
I truly believe the rest will come soon. The attack will klick, the passes will stick, the kicks will find grass and the offloads will be better timed, creating second phase plays that will give us the advantage.
The talent of our squad will do the rest! icon_thumbs_u

It would be really nice if all this started this Monday too! [icon_pray.

I'm with team negative here.

3/4 Teams we played have been terrible this year. Cowboys have been fairly inconsistent.

Our defense has had periods in both 2009 and 2010 where it was equally good, only to completely fall apart later on and make the Souths defense look good.

A good game on Monday will help convince me.

Don't worry Beads, I know what you're getting at. Unfortunately, this is BHQ. If you say something good is going to happen, if it's not this season then the goldfish who post here won't get it.

I know you're thinking he's building a culture that might see us become a powerhouse again if not this year, then next year or the year after. And that's good.

Short term success is lovely, but if we can build to having a bit of a dynasty with our young players coming through, that's what we should all be loving.
