South Sydney look into alleged attack on coach Jason Taylor

Whether to use I or Me in such situations is one of the most difficult for people when it comes to correct grammar. So you don't need to ask again and can keep up the excellent grammar policing, the way to decide if it should be I or me is to read the sentence as though only the one person is involved. In this particular case:

Option a "I refer to the much publicised incident involving me at Forrester's Hotel on 6 September 2009,"

Option b "I refer to the much publicised incident involving I at Forrester's Hotel on 6 September 2009,"

In this example, clearly sentence b sounds ridiculous, so "me and David" is correct.

Are you spearheading the Milward Project?

The what? I just hate bad grammar as well - can't help it, I was an English major at school.

Its just we totally covered this at work and that's what the grammar program is called - it was just freaky - just the other day that exact rule was detailed

watching this Interview with Taylor, i actually feel sorry for him. his heart is broken and generally feels he didnt do anything wrong.

To be honest I don't think he did either, well nothing to warrant his sacking anyway.

It seems if Souths are using this incident as an excuse to get rid of a dud coach.

It's SO blatantly obvious that Shane Richardson and the board just wanted ANY excuse to get rid of him and use John Lang. Just goes to show how unprofessional the club is. Should be kicked out of the comp.

Exactly right. It's obvious that John Lang was approached a while ago, said he'd give it a go and ever since that, Souths just wanted Taylor gone by any means necessary.

I am not a Jason Taylor fan by any means but I really hope he does take this further and wins.

I saw the same thing. The way he was talking and his body language showed he was a shattered man. When he showed the documents he took with him on the show, that was when I saw the desperation in him.

Certainly was hard done by and like others, I hope he takes it further too. Man you gotta feel for him.

My main concern was they didn't preview the Broncos Dragons game because of this sideshow (they may have - I was only half watching it). Natually they spent all night sucking Parra's cawk but no time for the Broncos.

They did, it was before the Taylor thing - they interviewed Corey and they got Te'o to try and interview the team (which was funny stuff)

Oh that was the match preview was it? That sucked then although it was a pretty good Footy Show all up.

I don't rate Taylor as a coach at all but it's obvious souths handled him badly from the word go. He was brought on as McCrae's assistant and when he had that run with Parra they got caught up in the hype and feeling they were going to lose him they gave Taylor the head job and shunted McCrae to a nuffie job. Like Fittler, he had a good first year because the players were happy but that can only take you so far. Once their coaching deficiencies were exposes, management knew they made a mistake. This was just an excuse, the knives have been out for some time but instead of manning up and demoting Taylor they had to play silly games.

Yep this kind of stuff happens to employees all the time - I know from personal experience and I really feel for him, I know pretty much what he's going through.

In regards to if he should or shouldn't have been there in the first place - well most places of work have an end of year celebration and all staff, including the boss generally go - so I personally don't have an issue with the coaches being out with the players at the end of the season - so long as they are responsible.

I'm not a real fan of Taylor as a coach and think Souths probably needed to replace him, but this has just been completely wrong on their part.
