SPOILERS!!

Obviously we have a long way to go, but a massive turnaround in attitude and effort from last week.

We actually played pretty good considering how shit we have been.

Due to the forwards doing their job, both Wallace and Locky had great games, even great kicking games, which also allowed our backs to do their job.

Also special credit to Yow Yeh and Winterstein. Winterstein's massive effort getting out of the in goal was unreal.

A bit sad how it ended, but in the grand scheme of things, at least they can hold their heads high after this match.

The main thing im happy about is how they didn't have 50+ missed tackles, and actually looked commited, playing for one another, something that was lacking in previous games.

Should be a good game next week against the Panthers. (Y)

Hopefully Lockyer and Kenny will be fine, and we build some momentum into the finals..

That's all I'm asking for. Put in for the whole eighty minutes. Bit dusty at the start but they played for each other and looked like they enjoyed themselves.
Go the BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm gonna look forward to watching the replay some time during the week. Broncos fans can show their faces (and colours) proudly again, at least for a week. Big thanks to the boys for putting some effort and HEART into their performance, it was exactly what I was looking for. To win and win well was an added bonus. A shame for the for-and-against to let in that last try, but the scoreboard says it's obviously a massive turnaround in form. Hopefully it'll last a while.

Fast forward the first 15 minutes, and the Broncos played some great football.

Need to keep this up for the next 3 weeks when we play the Panfers, Cows and Dragons. Lose 2 of them and we miss the finals for sure.

Actually good to see the team patting each other on the back/heads, encouraging each other etc. Just looking like they are a team.

Great turnaround in attitude from the players. We forced passes that weren't on in the first quarter but played sensible footy from there on and it paid off.

Crowd was 20,100 something and Teo was MoTM.

Plus I won $100 on the doubles! Nearly didn't buy any this time around.

Yeah, first time in a while the team seemed so enthused congratulating eachother when they scored tries and so on.
The broncos can win the premiership.

An improvement. Still a long way to go to say we've turned the corner though. Very poor sharks team as opposition. Attack looked horrible for most of the game. Too flat, playing too lateral, not enough players hitting the line. Credit to taylor and teo on that score though.

But enthusiasm was better. Maybe we're starting to turn this titanic season around.

hahaha hold your horses - we should have beat them by 50 tonight. The sides compared on paper is WOWSERS!
It shows just how we are going. Good on the boys though, we needed the win and it was something the club JUST needed. I would seriously be looking towards next year though and taking it week by week (as cliche as it is). If we were 8 weeks out maaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe a different story because of our roster but to build to something now is not the way to do things...

Good on ya boys! Keep it up and have another go against the Panthers!

A win is a win is a win. Long long way to go and the defence is still crap, especially the first 10 minutes.

The enthusiasm slowly improved as we put points on the board, there were several great sets in defence that showed what we can do if we put it all together.

We saw the real Te'o tonight, and DT why couldn't have played like that earlier when playing for a contract. Even Sims hit it up hard and often (must be the bald head). Wally had plenty of ice on his leg after the game which looked a worry as well as Kenny.

Not much else to say but continue to build on that boys, this week vs Panfers

First half ordinary, but I was very happy in the second half when it was very evident from where I was sitting that the boys were really enjoying themselves out there. That goes a long way towards playing as a unit and therefore making us a bigger chance of winning games.

I stand by what I have said for some time now - BHQ is harsh on Teo icon_thumbs_u

AWTA. That goes for Sims as well. At the start of the 2nd half he hit up 4 times in our first 4 sets and hit up hard (and didn't drop the ball). Reckon it was a bit of a strategic 'gee-up' by Cullen this week to say they are being shopped around.

McCullough was good tonight, and was doing a lot of the things he was doing at the start of the season, running the ball a lot more and coming in as first and second receiver. Must have had a bit of a chat with Kerrod this week.

Also - reckon Wallace had one of his best games as a Bronco, he found a lot of space with his kicks which was excellent. He also gave some enthusiasm to the team. I distinctly remember when McGuire tackled a Sharks player on the last with them one meter from the line he was slapping backs and clapping and cheering the guys on. Good to see :)

I agree. Delighted to see him perform well tonight, my MOTM.

Yow Yeh was also excellent as well which was great to see.

Taylor has fair dinkum been our best forward over the last four or five weeks. Such a shame we're losing him.

He wasn't outstanding at all but i thought McCullough had a very good game. Kept it simple and didn't try anything stupid. Directed the pack around well and delivered good ball to Wallace and Lockyer.

Hodges was awesome again. You've got to love his passion on the field.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, it was nice to see Sims running hard and straight.

Wallace and Lockyer were solid as was Hunt.

It was a great showing from the boys although it was only the Sharks. Hopefully we can maintain it for next week.
