OFFICIAL Staff moved on.

The Broncos will advertise for a new general manager of football to replace Nolan next week. They are also expected to hire another high profile assistant coach.

More from Karl Morris:

“I don’t want to talk about individuals in this, but this change is not easy and there is pain involved. With the continual upgrading of the roster, I believe we can be competitive very quickly."

“Parramatta finished at the bottom of the ladder in 2018 and became a top-four side within a few years. These changes were always forecast with the new CEO coming in and we support Dave in making these needed but painful changes. There is always continual change when you have a new CEO who comes in. I don’t see things being drastic but yes, there will be some continual change moving forward.”

“Dave is looking at how best to strengthen what Kevin needs around him. Dave has come from a high-performance environment at the Storm and knows what the structures are. We will put some proper structures around Kevin.”

Bennett?

It will be interesting to see what Kevvie does with his coaching staff, it’s part of the job to make these tough decisions, he would know that first hand, now he’s got to put on the big boy pants and sack his mates.

Sounds like most, if not all these changes are coming from DD & KW, so it’ll be interesting to see what targets KW has put on him.
By 2022 he should have his own built roster and no excuses.
Very interesting times ahead.

Notice the way Morris positions himself as seperate / removed from the problems which have occurred under his chairmanship?

I know I should be happy and relieved more than anything else right now, and I am, but I just cannot help but be ropeable as well.

After the events of the last 24 hours, you cannot tell me Paul White was not running a jobs for the boys operation while he was still CEO. Unless he is a complete moron, what did Donuts see that he didn't? I beg someone to explain it to me.

Move over Bruno Cullen, the crown for worst Broncos CEO ever has a new bearer.

I think the Broncos have missed a trick. We know the Storm were only willing to release the block of cheese for another player. Instead of just telling TPJ to walk we should have first tried to use him as a bargaining tool with the Storm and at least get something out of his departure. If not TPJ we should have offered them the whole list of who we were sacking in the off chance they were interested in any of them.

Spoiler alert, they weren't. I'm shocked they even poached Coates.

Can't believe I have slept through one of the most important days in our clubs recent history. Catching up on this great news has filled me with hope. The rot is being cut out and hopefully positive change is coming.

To be honest I was hoping KHunt's name was among the listed. He does typify everything that is rank ordinary about the Broncos at present. Sure he's turned his life around, sure he's a good guy, sure he's a great mentor for our younger kids, but geez he's a fuckin embarrassment on the field at times.

Turn it up K and do the honourable thing man FFS.

I thought it was funny watching one of his first interviews with Souths Logan saying he wanted to coach, to me that was just translation for "I am nearly at the end of my career and would like to stay in the game to keep the cash flowing".

You blokes suggesting Flanagan, deadset..

He oversaw the peptide shit and then when they punished him, he was still trying to coach them in the background, not sure I want this club to have anything to do with someone like that. No matter how bad we are going.
And he would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids

Yes mate. Something that happened ten years ago. We need more of this attitude...nothing can ever be forgiven 😒
If we can forgive Lodge...

I did not consider ryles, Donny would know what they have in him as a coach, could be a sneaky good move and a big middle finger to Melbourne.

which I’m always a fan of
Still, another rookie? I'm not sure a rookie is the answer. I'd rather a premiership winning coach with a reputation for building hard graft teams on a tight budget. Still, Ryles is not without merit.

Flanagan's commentary hasn't instilled any confidence that he is actually any smarter than someone like Walters. He says the absolute most obvious stuff. Can someone give a list of positive things he would 100% bring to this club? I'm curious.
