Yep, the one fun thing about tonight is that Townsville has waited 41 years to get an Origin match and they get that.

QLD often seems to start the Origin series poorly. No doubt they'll lift for game 2, hopefully Papa and Ponga are back and Munster and Grant get more match fit.

Team of cats! Should hang their heads in shame. Game 2 won't be any better and game 3 will be an even bigger disaster.

NSW just far too much strike in the end and their ability to work the ball out of trouble made a huge difference.

They definitely deserved the win, but all these new interpretations led to the score to blow out. It was actually an even contest until Sutton decided half-way through Munster receiving the ball it was a six again. A huge moment and by the time Queensland got on the board it was all over.

The problem with the modern game is that you can just live off-side. Hell, if you're chasing a kick you can be off-side that doesn't matter. Play the ball correctly? Hardly, just play it on your knees and the referee will give you a penalty if you make a meal of it. It just allows things to balloon so quickly, to the point where games are over after 25 minutes.
