I can’t find any reports mentioning it.

Yeah, realistically for Queensland he probably is. The sheer numerical advantage NSW have in player numbers means Queensland simply cannot afford to let any player who is potentially eligible slip through our grasp.

We may not need him at this moment, but you only have to look back at last year to see just how thin the playing stocks can get for Queensland at times.
