State of Origin I - QLD vs NSW - Live Discussion

I think it's got to the stage where I'd prefer Jarrod Wallace over Napa.
Not much in it to be honest but I am hoping Napa comes out and pulverises a couple of guys yet. That’s all he’s got.

Queensland are doing well just to hang in. NSW have them beat all across the park, their back three are getting their sets off to a great start, Klemmer is rolling through and Cook is playing off the back of it. By rights, it should be game over.

Queensland are doing OK on the back-foot but just lacking the execution. They're lacking penetration around the ruck and the playmakers are trying their best to make it up as they go along. Munster and Cherry-Evans have been the best halves on the field bar none, but they're not receiving much assistance.

I think the Blues have this in the bag, I just hope they think they do as well.

Kaufusi the pick of the forwards for Queensland. A nice turn-around after a forgettable debut series.

Napa's a terrible choice for Origin. All he has is aggression, but everyone's aggressive during Origin so he's just a prop that makes no metres.

Should be 8 all at least. Napa had a try, penalties on the line after that.

Good point...after all didn't the Courier Mail say the Macca was "sluggish" and Turps was "God like"..???

Not like them to get THAT wrong..
Rings a bell. Spot on, anyway.

there are tries in this QLD side thats for sure.....id do noting but keep hitting that left edge all second half until we do score...or NSW rearrange that defence...

What more do you want him to do? Other than being out by an inch (twice) he’s done everything asked of him
He hasn't been terrible by any stretch. But bombing a try in origin is big, big mistake. They are hard to come by. Also he hasnt been taking those tough inside out 20 metre runs he normally does for the broncos (I hope that's not a Walters tactic, but I wouldn't be surprised)

I'm with Pete - NSW have this in the bag, but it's Origin, and strange things happen in Origin.

Bring on the second half fam, let's smash these *****!

Phil Gould mentioned he didn't think we had the bench to help us win if we were behind at half time....guess we will find out soon enough..?

Klemmer still getting away with knee lifts after all these years.

Napa is only any use when he is playing full lunatic mode.

The best use we can get out of Napa, is for him to fly like a maniac into Cook or Tedesco.

The halves have created at least 4 tryscoring opportunities in one half. It's the outside backs and Napa that have stopped that from translating on the scoreboard.

Everything is messy though. No direction
