The year 2000 is the last year of the 90s so it's clear to me that the Broncos are the team of the 90s decade. If Melbourne makes the GF they could reasonably called the team of the 2000s, not least because they have done it having to travel interstate every other week.
I heard them talking on the footy show last night and I think dumbarse vossy said "all due respect to the broncos and melbourne...but this is the most important match of the year, this is really as good as the grand final...in the past you don't remember preliminary finals, but this is different...." paraphrased a bit but that's the gist of the first half an hour last night.
