NEWS TC Robati signs for three more years

Promising NZ born backrower Teurui (TC) Robati has extended his contract by three years on the eve of his NRL debut. Robati is currently on a $60,000 contract, but will be promoted to Brisbane’s full time squad for 2022. Weighing in at 105kgs, Robati has 17 offloads from six games for Wynnum and is averaging 115 metres per match this season.

Making the world taste good

His manager Paul Sutton said

“TC is full of aggression, he’s like a raging beast. This has been his first year in the Intrust Super Cup at Wynnum Manly and he is towelling blokes up. He was under contract for another year but I had phone calls from a number of clubs expressing interest, so the Broncos were keen to tie him up."

“TC loves busting tackles, he runs with real aggression and even at Broncos training he isn’t afraid to get stuck into his teammates. This is a big step up for TC but he won’t be daunted by facing the Storm.”

TPJ:

“I played against him in a trial at Wynnum in pre-season. We have an Intrust Super Cup player-of-the-week and he has won that award a few times this year. His form warrants his selection and hopefully we can make it a memorable night. It’s always good to see a guy make his debut so hopefully we can play well to get a win for him. He is a tough back-rower. I’m sure Kevvie has faith in him.”

Not sure what you mean by 'his running'. Is it his running style, his failure to make metres, or his inability to find space? I'm trying to workout what you mean by organising something with the best half in the ISC. Thanks.

His hole running making space, he offloads he breaks tackles but I don't feel like he goes too far.

He has a great half but I don't think Wynnum have utilised it. TC needs to build a relationship with Scarlett and cash in on his work.

Piakura is the same, he had his best game, running when Gamble got on his side. Scored two tries in 20 minutes with beautiful running.

I just think this year TC has done a lot of good things, but his running game is something that isn't being used. His strength has been offloading and breaking tackles.

The club is finally doing what we’ve all been asking and locking up the young talent before they go to market. Hopefully on reasonable contracts. This is what we all lost our minds about regarding Fifita, Coates, Dearden and Walsh.

We should take a minute to appreciate this change and it seems like DD is already making his mark. Now hopefully we can also earmark a few spine and backs for the future.

We will likely lose a few more guys who didn’t get locked down in time under White-ant but things are looking up.

So this is happening this week as you have alluded too.
No WB info is hard to get, let alone accurate. Was referring to all the talks going on with different players.

Hopefully 'Milford' and 'mother' are next.

Why has Scarlett never been able to lock down an NRL position, he seems to have been one of the better halves running around in ISC for some time??

Great news; much improved way of doing this; im sure player managers are noticing how different we are approaching retention these days.

In all honesty, if Riki, TC & Piakura turn into 7/10 NRL quality players then it will be money well spent.

The idea though will be one of those 3 turn into an elite prospect, but lets see...
