The NRL are going to scapegoat us to stamp out the hip drop tackle (regardless of whether what Carrigan did is actually a hip drop. IMO It's not) but that isn't going to stop them. Smacking the Broncos with a crazy suspension isn't going to stir up much noise in NSW and lets face it, that's all that matters to them.

I'll wait till the outcome but if he is getting beyond a grade 3 we are getting seriously shafted for what would of been next to nothing if not for the injury.

If injury loadings are 6 weeks on top this game is fucked beyond repair.

With what we know about concussion and the fact that future legal action may financially ruin the game, I would argue that NAS' (arguably intentional) forearm to the head and that high shot on Verrils deserve more time than an unintentional hip drop. Ofc Cleary's spear tackle was far worse as it put Brown's head and spine at risk; it'll be a joke if Pat gets more time on the sidelines.

Carrigan only got into an akward position because Hastings got bent over backwards. He deserves to be suspended (not for 6+ weeks lmao. 2-3 would be enough) because he ought to have gotten into a better position and not put Hastings at risk, but the same can be said for blokes who hit players high.
