The Ashes 2010-2011

Huge pole! icon_smile

Now for Trott and it's all over IMO.

Trott would be big, but Bell and Collingwood are both capable of sticking around.

I agree. Although I feel if Trott really gets going he'll be the hardest to remove. Obviously no where as good, but he's Kallis-like for the Poms IMO (well, he is a Saffa anyway).

I think Colly and Bell are always a decent chance though if the bowling's even slightly favourable.

Off Topic - Who else is loving the absolute pasting that India are copping at the moment? Take them off their Subby roads and they're as bad as we are.

superb bowling from Mitch, Punter drops it but luckily it pops up for Haddin to take. icon_thumbs_u

Finally something to cheer about, let's finish them before lunch tomorrow. icon_thumbs_u

Terrific form in the slips from Smith and a great end to the day.

We face out final test tomorrow in being able to finish a team off. Love the fact that the watchman is in there - gives us a chance to get an early wicket tomorrow and get things moving.

What great viewing that was at the end of the day! Cricket as it should be, finally _woohoo_

How good is it to see some aggression from the quicks and the skipper? Good attacking fields and fast, attacking bowling. Fantastic stuff.

When that last wicket fell today I was cheering like Lockyer had just kicked a field goal in Golden Point. Harris you legend!!!!!!

Let's just knock them the **** over tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and great to see Hilfenhaus take a vital wicket as well. His bowling has been much better than his figures suggest and he deserved that one icon_thumbs_u

Australia's charge towards a series-levelling victory was upset by Ricky Ponting suffering a suspected broken finger that could rule him out of the rest of the campaign. Ponting was sent for x-rays after rebounding the edge of Jonathan Trott from first slip to the wicketkeeper Brad Haddin late on the third day.

I thought he only busted a nail. Hopefully he'll be sweet and it's just a touch of sensationalism on the author's part. The old man is due for big runs soon you would think.

As good as it is, I can't help looking at the scorecard (our innings) and seeing Watson and Hussey contributing 200 of the 300-odd we got. Only Smith with 36 or whatever it was also got a start.

Yet again, Hughes, Ponting, Clarke failed. Batting is still a huge concern IMO.

Batting is a massive concern, Clarke and Ponting have been pretty pathetic. Not worried about that at the moment TBH, lets get the 5 wickets today and make this a cracking series.

Since ol' RBY gave the boys good Australian names they have come good. The turn around in form of Norm Snackers is proof.
Longbottm, Bong and Grogan are in good touch with the bat, but the concerns about Hare and Mynoff continue to be a worry.
Jarse made a contribution, but there are cracks in his game.
Any talk about Grogan being squeezed out is very premature - he could be our new captain if Hare is given the brush.

Have been extremely impressed with Harris' bowling this test.

Started off quite erratically, but has bowled superbly since.
