The Ashes 2013/14

They have built their side around being a borefest and grinding teams out of tests. The problem is it is hard to bore teams when you are getting bullied, bashed and intimidated. This England squad does not have the ability to come even close to matching our intensity and fire. Our pace arsenal packs serious heat and England doesn't have anyone at present who can match it, let alone three of them. We have about ten. We are back playing an Australian borish style under an Australian coach, the value of a home grown coach with a great record behind him, no coincidence.

We have batsmen in Warner and Watson who can impose and intimidate, England only have Pietersen and he is struggling. We have the linchpin of Clarke, they have Bell who has looked out of sorts. Both teams have spinners who suck at present and our keeper is performing phenomenally better than theirs. We only lost two days in the final three tests in England, the result looked lopsided but it didn't tell anywhere near the whole picture.

We have also given every other country in world cricket the blueprint to beat England, mind you we kind of stole it from NZ's left armers.

I thought this was going to be England's last hurrah. When you think about the next ashes. Provided some of the batsmen go forward. With a bowling attack of Cummins , pattinson, Starc. Bird. They will be a handful.

That's the frustrating thing about MJ, his best and worst are just so far apart. He could have been the greatest bowler in history.

not by a long shot mate .. Johnson is a very awkward bowler to deal with when on song but he's raw in comparison to the G.O.A.T left arm quicks ... If Johnson had a consistent inswinger he'd be lot more lethal a lot more of the time ...

This guy, IMO, is the absolute top shelf when it comes to left arm quicks ... of all the highlight clips out there, this one is my personal favourite ... arguably the best three-card trick served up to any batsman EVER imo ... and if DRS was around in those days, it wouldn't have even been a three-card trick because he'd had a wicket on all three balls.

Yeah and that is basically the point I'm saying. I know he is nowhere near the GOAT but IF he had the control he presently has, he certainly well could have been.

In a few years time we are potentially looking at:

Hughes/Silk, Warner, Maddinson/Patterson, Smith, Lynn, Burns, Wade/Handscomb/Carters, Starc/Sayers, Pattinson/Sandhu, Cummins/Faulkner, Zampa/Agar

Bowling attack looks phenomenal but the batting is still a worry.

Just wait til Hayden's, Gillys and Co kids come through

I pray before I go to sleep and one of my prayers has been for god to give guidance and luck to Australia throughout the series. Prayer surely works everything is going well so far.

Lol @ the pommies. Who sends convicts to paradise
