Unfortunately, this kind of discussion is what keeps trash like 360 going. You couldn’t find four dumber blokes to put in a room.

They are just all sensationalists looking for them clicks and for fans to get upset about their latest stupid hot take that they’ll do a 180 on the week after…and there’s what the real title of the show should have been.

Gordy overall had some pretty good things to say and glad to hear him get behind the team.

That being said, you’ve gotta laugh at him saying

“I love the players, they were criticised last year and I think unfairly”

The players were criticised by you, you dork

He's not getting behind the club. It's hugely obvious to me he is loading up his arsenal here. Unless we win the minor premiership and the gf I'll be anticipating a "kevvie got them to a gf, and last year he had all them injuries. Why was he sacked?!?! Maguire needs to go"

Love how he brushes off Hunt as a nothing signing. Imagine the glazing he'd be doing if he signed at the sharks or dogs. The bloke had 30 try assists last year lmao.
To be fair, that's really got nothing to do with Hunt's ability though, it's all down to the magnificent attacking structures the Dragons had due to Flanno the genius coach.

Haha shit, you’re so right

Turns out when you get smashed by a bottom 8 Titans team twice, then you open yourselves up to criticism.

It was a punish with Paul Kent but I'd argue it was at least watchable. I've tried to watch it this year and I just can't...

Would you put that more down to Anasta? I could not think of a worse choice for host. He's just so up himself.

100%. Absolute bellend

"..I'm just asking a question..."

I also don't give two shits what people think, him being on that show is a direct conflict of interest given he's a player manager.

Absolutely, its an absolute disgrace.

You can see it building up lol

Also interesting that they seem to have a consensus that Madge won't be with us for long...

He he's successful (which we know he will be), why wouldnt he stay on.

Their point was that he burns his teams out, they aren’t wrong there. Maguire is good in his first season at a club and then trends down. The stats back this up. Maguire will have to buck his own trend to be a long term coach at the Broncs. But Cleary did it, so why not Maguire?

I just don't really get the argument though... isn't that a squad / leadership issue??

Bellamy has been at the Storm for 22yr this year and he flogs and demands more from his team than any other coach, but they've never been burnt out, because the squad and leadership group just continually want success.

Cleary will be along the same lines, because you don't win 4 in a row without getting absolutely flogged every preseason and then getting structures drilled into you day after day.

If you want success then you have to get flogged by your coach... that's what you sign up for.

If that becomes too much then you've likely got a weak squad rather than a hard coach

Sure I get your point, I’m just pointing out the stats do back up their point. The reason for it is likely many and varied. The key will be Maguire figuring out why and how to fix it so it doesn’t happen again. Souths were a premiership winning team and made heaps of prelims, so why did they burn out and why did he lose them? I don’t think that was a weak minded squad.

Wests of course were a totally different beast but even so, it would be interesting to know what he feels he learned from it because let’s be honest, it’s been pretty evident for some time we have some pretty soft members of the squad mentally. How is Maguire going to get their buy in long term?

It's not about physical flogging. Some coaches tire you out with their intensity and micromanaging.

Think Ricky although he has mellowed. Woolf although again he seems to have learned.

Brian Smith never learned to leave it alone and micromanaged every player to within an inch of their life.

That's why the message and love runs out after a couple of years.

Bellamy doesn't even use his Storm email- he leaves players alone.
