They can have Turpin if that helps? Happy for them to take Kennedy too and even willing to throw in Pereira and as a sweetener, we'll offer Seibold.

TraitorI dont know tbh. Probably still the Broncos, but i could change my mind. I have an interest in both teams
Another QLD team would have to be in central QLD surely.
Sure it’s pure coincidence that he sold all his broncos shares leading into these announcementsnot according to Politis ... in fact he says we should take at least two of them.
“The three groups bidding to become the 17th team are all financially strong with good business structures. Why turn two of them away?
“They should be encouraged to be patient and eventually become the 18th team
.....
hell, he talks about needing to grow and attract new customers, then disregards 2/3 of Australia (in a "national" comp no less)
Maybe fixing the game first would go a long way to "getting new customers and more eyeballs on TV screens".Slothfield says there is support for an 18 team comp within 5 years. then quotes Uncle Nick saying there should be 2 new clubs in QLD (i don't know what those down south have against the rest of Australia)
Uncle Nick says:
“We should have two new clubs in Queensland,” Politis said, “We need to grow and we need new customers. More eyeballs on TV and more product will bring more revenue from the broadcasters and that’s what we rely on more than anything else.
“You do that by increasing the number of clubs, have an extra game and go into new areas.”
A ninth game would increase TV revenue by approximately $250 million over five years. Politis, a self-made billionaire, has support from some of the most powerful people in the game.
“Every successful company expands,” Politis said. “You stay stagnant, you go broke.
“A company like Woolworths goes into a new area and picks up 10,000 new customers. “New NRL clubs will do the same and keep growing over time.
“The three groups bidding to become the 17th team are all financially strong with good business structures. Why turn two of them away?
“They should be encouraged to be patient and eventually become the 18th team or we look at an area like Rockhampton
Politis points out how the NRL had 20 clubs before the Super League war.
“Look at the people we lost when the North Sydney Bears folded,” he said, “They didn’t go to Manly and they didn’t cross the bridge and come to the Roosters.
“They went to the Swans and the Waratahs. We lost thousands and thousands of rugby league fans.”
Before there is any more talk about an 18th team there needs to be at least 2 shitney teams ditched.not according to Politis ... in fact he says we should take at least two of them.

yeah i dont get the doom and gloom from some that say this will destroy the broncos. Alot of this talk seems to be however coming from south of border.firstly, my post was in reference to the Panthers C EO trying to make believe that the new team would be more likely to decimate the QLD teams (remembering that the Titans and Cowboys have struggled for years, and we've struggled the last 2 years) ... rather than the current premiers.
secondly, anyone who believes the new Brisbane team will significantly negatively impact us, is being unnecessarily alarmist ... or maybe being negative for the sake of being negative (probably just a habit from the last 2 years). we're making the right moves both on and off the field, to take us back where we belong.
On a slightly positive note regarding the 17th team, it gives us another team of players to target for recruitment.
What I mean is, it's easier to recruit a player from another club if they don't have to move interstate. It's one of the big disadvantages of being located in Brisbane while half the comp reside in Sydney, and it's never talked about. Much much easier for a Sydney based team to recruit from another Sydney based team than it is for us.
At least we will have another team of players we can recruit from without them having to move to come here.
Are you talking Gosford or Rockhampton? Both have a case for inclusion, especially Gosford.Central Coast for mine
