I do strongly believe the NRL should change their name though, because there is absolutely nothing "national" about this comp.

they should stop pretending and go back to the NSWRL

because that means that 1 team will miss out on the advantages of magic round. and how do they decide which team that will be ... he went further to say that you couldn't make 1 of the QLD teams have the bye that week, they'll be needed to play.

it's basically as I said from the get go. Broncos need to be shit to introduce the new team to draw fans away and make the transition easier. The deal also speaks of a reduced number of Broncos Friday night games. This could not happen if the Broncos were rating highly with Nine. The deal is very beneficial to Fox and News Corp.

It damages Nine Fairfax and is designed to aid Fox/News Corp.

If the Broncos were playing well, Nine would have more of an issue with viewers not tuning in to Broncos games. As it stands, most true Broncos fans will now turn to Fox.
