I would go with the Bayside Dolphins.
I would go with the Bayside Dolphins.
The bit I saw where he said Redcliffe he was talking about kids having a pathway playing from age 6 to first grade.I didn't read/hear it like that at all.....
Yeah, I think of bayside as Wynnum/Manly/Wellington pt/birkdale/Cleveland/Victoria pt/Redland bay etc.Bayside is a suburb in Vic, but isn't it also what a lot of people refer to Redland Bay as?
Its just more generic and covers suburbs by the Bay. If they want to cover parts of Brisbane and sunny coast it kinda works. Bayside just means by the bay. I live in Melbourne so maybe that's why it came to mindBayside is a suburb in Vic, but isn't it also what a lot of people refer to Redland Bay as?

Moreton Bay in a landslide
be very hard for them to change now gfiven how adamant their CEO was that they won't change from the Dolphins ... "because we're a national brand now and have to treat it as such"
The Australia Dolphins.
Also why are they are 'national' brand? No other team is. Have they been told they must represent everyone not currently represented? Really odd thing to say.
Exactly! How was this not completely sorted prior to approval?
Because the nrl club apparently isn’t called Redcliffe? Why is that only to do with ISC? That's the pathway, I said weeks ago that's their biggest strength you'll be able to play from U6 to NRL for the same club- no one else has that.
I just got to thinking....I'm beginning to wonder if the Dolphins will pursue Gamble when his contract expires at the end of 2023. He has history with the club already and probably has some sentimentality for the place having played so much footy there. It's just speculation on my part but I wouldn't be surprised. He would be a decent pickup even as depth, and a sound option to partner Munster provided they look over Milford (likely imo. They don't want to begin their history in first grade by signing a supposed wife basher with an unflattering recent history of form).

I'd hate to lose Gamble but that makes sense. Munster and Milford as inaugural halves - I don't know if that's setting up the best on or off field culture, but that pairing wouldn't come as a shock.
I think the interesting thing to watch will be whether Bennett builds a team for longer-term culture and success, or whether he goes hard for that elusive final premiership. In recent years he's not been afraid to look the other way or roll out the 'boys will be boys, you don't want a team of choirboys' line when players have done some questionable things, so it wouldn't surprise me if he does look at talent first and pushes any red flags aside. He could put together a team of the best players available, but would they necessarily be the best players to build a team around? For me, that's the choice between the likes of Munster and Smith versus Welch and Grant. Hopefully he goes the former, and the latter think about coming to us...
WB won't be interested in any of that RE Milford......I just got to thinking....I'm beginning to wonder if the Dolphins will pursue Gamble when his contract expires at the end of 2023.
